Kellerman is utterly unqualified, and this situation showed it clearly. Unlike any of the other boxing commentators you could name, Kellerman never acquired experience in boxing journalism or in participating in the game itself prior to being plucked from obscurity at put on television - and it SHOWS!

HBO needs to dump this clown and replace him with someone qualified, like Al Bernstein, the best in the sport!

 

Kellerman is a Glass Jawed joke. He is incompetent and only has his job due to who his daddy is. HBO needs to fire him ASAP and get someone that knows what the hell they are talking about.

 

Merchant was likely censored out of commentating the fight by team fraudweather who fear the blunt honesty of the HallofFame commentator excellent work.

 

This is incredible, how the hell did this feller get his break, surely someone at HBO must have seen through this novice or is it a case of corporate arrogance of what we say is what you have.

OK i'll concede that Berstein has mellowed in recent years but for us Brits he's/was an anathma as our boxing journo'/commentators all/mostly were schooled in radio broacasting, great too listen 2 & articulate in the interviews & just doing there job of focusing on the events participants & not seeking the desperate self publicity when the opportunity presents itself i.e compare the commentry of the HAGLER/HEARNS fight by our own late great Reg Gutheridge compared too the one which had Bernstein yappin none stop, no contest:smoke
