Hatton probably should have fought JMM before Pac because it's a safer winnable fight for him. Now it's probably too late as he's been badly deteriorating physically and pretty much announced his retirement.

I, too, would love to see him back at 135 against Valero for all the marbles. I suspect that even at 140 Marquez just won't carry the weight half as well as Pacquiao. He would be in Mijares' position at 140, basically too slow and weak punching against the younger, stronger competition.

I am disappointed, I was hoping JMM stays at 135 and fight guys like Guzman, Valero, Linares, etc.

Marquez surely wants a third bout with Pacquiao so he'll be hoping Cotto beats Pacquiao.

Interesting bouts other than that can take place at either 135 or 140.

JMM going after that 4th championship in as many divisions.
Will make Mexican boxing history as the first 4 division champion.

    Good luck champ!

Marquez was gonna go to 140 all along, Mayweather fight or not. This is what haters didn't understand. He was really just jumping up one weight division, not two.

Marquez was a small lightweight and is a natural featherweight.

i think that marquez could beat all of the current champs at light welter and would love to see him against hatton, could be a classic if hattons not past his best

JMM vs. Hatton in the UK will be an interesting one... They can call that fight "Battle of P4P#1 Leftovers"...

he did clean out the division. Gotta hand it to him on that. hindsight being 20/20...old and very weak division.
