Who's gonna bring in the PPV buys to compete and beat UFC and draw the casual fan? I can't think of any fighter that can bring in competing numbers unless they're fighting Floyd or Pac. If JCC Jr. were to somehow become a top P4P and start whooping on lesser fighters convincingly, and beat a couple of the top fighters, I could see him getting a nice following, but that doesn't look like it's gonna happen any time soon if ever. So... who's gonna carry the mantle?
We got some time before we lose both but maybe Ortiz Maybe Khan Kirkland Dawson Berto, dependin on how he perfoms in the nxt few matches Valero? i dont kno Im not worried really coz fights are marketed so well that they are always gna create a superstar, whether or not they are that good is a diff. matter altogether
When one door closes another one opens up. Somebody will step up and fill the role. It's nothing to get worked up about or even talk about.
When FMJ and MP calls it quits, boxing will have an uphill battle on their hands. The casual boxing fans, which outnumbers die hard fans, only recognizes the name of these 2 great fighters. Eventually, other fighters will come up and have a big name to capture the imaginations of the casual fans.
I think we should also put Hatton in the bracket of major star close to retiring soon, anyone agree? A couple of other's that could become big stars: Bradley/ Williams/ Pavlik/ Haye
