Valouev Vs. Haye. Valouev by knockout. unless Don King tells him to throw the fight. Valouev is taller than 7 feet, around 7 feet 2/7 feet 4, could simply pick Haye up and throw him out of the damned ring. Valouev has a rock chin, Haye has a very weak chin. Valouev is much stronger, good stamina, great jab, power, whenever he uses it, hard to hit his chin and if he does get hit, nothing happens. Haye is off balance, wide punches, no stamina, no chin. Haye could have made huge amount of money fighting Vitali or Vlad, but he blew it. Vitali and Vlad are better than Valouev by far, but Valouev has some boxing skills, esp.his jab. If Valouev lands one big punch on Haye it's all over. I don't think Haye can go 12 rounds, but Valouev can easily.
You maybe right but one thing I do know and that is Vlad and Vitali owns the HW division. I don't see anybody beating any of them. I know both brothers will never want to fight each other, but that would be one hell of a fight.
May well happen. But I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that Haye beats the ever loving **** outta Valuev.
I think the main factor undermining Haye's chances in this fight is the way he goes about his career. Haye is vastly talented as an athlete and at cruiserweight, that superior talent was enough to win fights. He is also a sloppy boxer who gets in competitive fights with opponents he should shut out completely if he has fully developed his talents with the right gameplan. Fragomeni and Mormeck would never land a punch on either Klitschko, because the Klitschkos don't make mistakes, Haye on the other hand goes from flashes of brilliance to sloppy, defenseless fighting in the same round. Some people call that exciting, I call it sloppy. Haye should beat Valuev with his speed and movement, but will he? He has only 23 pro fights, Chambers who is the same age as Haye has 36 and needed them to develop to his current level. Haye's last fight against Barrett was not a better performance than his fights 3 - 4 years ago and would need to improve and of course change his style to fight Valuev. If he can do it despite his inactivity, I will give him credit but he might very well be in for a rude awakening. I remember Valuev fights earlier in his career when opponents hit him with everything wnd the kitchen sink and complained in their corner about how much their hands hurt. If Haye realizes that his power doesn't do what he expected to do, I think he will crumble mentally.
Haye will not be able to knock Valuev out. I see the fight going the full 12 rounds with Haye doing all of the work, and Valuev getting it on the score cards.
Don't forget that Valuev has beaten some skilled boxers with good records in convincing fashion (e.g. ex CW champ Dominguez). So dont overrate Haye, dont underrate Valuev. IMHO there are three possible scenarios: Scenario 1: Valuev gets angry (e.g. if Haye says something disrespectful about his family), then he will go into the fight with bad intentions, and there will be a knockout win for Valuev in round 10 latest. The problem: Valuev is a sportsman, not a warrior. E.g. vs. Holyfield he simply didnt want to damage the livin legend. Haye knows this and has not launched any insults yet. Scenario 2 (most likely from my point of view): The judges rate effectiveness over activity and give close rounds to the home boy / champion ("european judgement"): UD for Valuev if he keeps Haye at bay with his solid, long jab, and avoids being hurt with his excellent defense. Scenario 3: Judging based on activity (crowd pleasing, "US style" judgement): UD for Haye The main question is whether Valuev really wants to hurt Haye. If yes, he will win.
Thats the same CW Champ Dominguez that Enzo Mac thumped , the same Enzo Mac that Haye obliterated in 2 rounds. Valuev seems likely a genuinely good guy so i dont want to slag him off , but all he's got is size and I don't think thats going to be enough.
