Steve Cunningham just scored his own fight with Adamek for the first time

Adamek won that fight clearly. Althought it was close one. If you watch the stats you will see that USS landed 19 punches more in the fight. He threw a lot of punches, but his percentage was on the low level. I think that majority of people who scored the fight for Cunningham were influnced by the fact that Cunn was way more active. Yes he was he thrown 210 punches more than Adamek, but landed only 19 punches more. Wheb You realize it then You gonna see what difference make 3 KDs.

I dont remeber how i scored each round but I thought that if USS wins it would be a robbery.

 

I had it even on rounds, but the knockdowns gave Adamek the edge on my card, 114-111. Early on Adamek was just doing better work, but Cunningham had a strong late finish, and had the fight been 15 rounds he might have stopped Adamek the way it was going.

I could maybe see Cunningham winning given every benefit of the doubt, but that's not much of a statement in his favor.

 

I scored it for Cunningham when I saw it live. Had the fight been a 15 round fight, I think Steve stops Adamek. Steve was rusty in this fight after the long time off, and I knew that if Adamek won, he was not going to give Steve a rematch.

 

9-9 would go if the fighter who got knocked down was thouroughly dominating the round to the point that a 10-8 would have been likely in his favor without a knockdown. cunningham did very well in those rounds but not so much that a few more landed punches or the knockdowns that adamek gave him didnt matter much.

 

It was strange fight, Cunningham dominated Adamek the whole fight, except when he got stupid and got caught.

The KD's made it really close, but I thought if you scored it clearly Cunningham won.

 

Great fight if not for the knockdowns USS would have won he was out boxing Adamek with ease but when he decided to fight Adamek's fight that's when he got into trouble. Great fight FOTY IMO and it should be a rematch in the works.

 

Exactly. USS had his moments but it was a clear win for Tomasz.

 

Althought punch stats do have a big impact many of Cunningham's punches were useless. Add three knockdowns and it's a no brainer.

 

It would have been an absolute shame if Adamek had not won this fight.


And NO Steve was not winning every round he was KD'd in.Round 4 yes the other's were not Steve rounds.

Right. I picked the stats to help realize some people that USS didnt dominate the fight and even without knockdowns it was a close one. So when we add 3 KDs there should ben a UD (i dont understand the judge who scored fight for Cunn). Whats more, most of Adamek's punches were harder than Cunningham's and that was Adamek who was passing most of the fight forward and making the pressure. People who score this fight for USS are 1 of 3 types:
-they like Cunningham (its OK, they favor their fighter)
-they dont like Adamek (dont know why, because he is offensive fighter and very entertaining)
-they are newbies in boxing
