high energy from start to finish
probably the highest output fighter in the past 50 years

The fight with manos de plaster of paris was not close. I don't know which fight you were watching but Williams won that one with ease.

 

What was more entertaining? The Quintana blow out or the descision over winky?

You are obviously a paul williams nuthugger and struggle to comprehend how somebody could beat him... well its already happened!

If he threw 75 or 80 punches a round he'd be throwing with authority and not shoe shining. Collazo, Juanma Lopez, Calzaghe, Margarito ALL can throw over a 1000 punches in a fight.

 

Calzaghe is quicker than him, throws just as many punches and works just as hard for the full 12 rounds, is he 'special'?

Lopez did it in 9 rounds against against Penalosa, Collazo has, Margarito holds the compubox record, Calzaghe did it a few times.

High workrate does not make a fighter special.

His superior size advantage at welter has given him technical flaws that may be taken advantage of up at middleweight. A guy like Abraham is Williams' kryptonite.

Before facing a 22 year old Alexander, 35 year old Witter hadn't fought in close to a year. So Basically Alexander beat a long layoff old Witter correct?

What competition does he have? The 3 greatest SMW's of all-time are from within about 200 miles of each other, that says something about the all-time standard of the division. Even if Calzaghe, Benn and Eubank were top quality fighters, I don't regard any as 'special'. He may well be the top 168 of all-time, but the division hasn't been around long enough for 'special' fighters to have been involved.

For me to regard somebody as being a 'special' fighter, they have to have some real outstanding talent, I don't see any if Williams that hasn't been matched by loads of guys, not enough his punch output, Margarito hasn't thrown more, even an average fighter like Zack Padilla has. The only special thing is his height, and I'm not regarding genetics like that, I don't believe being tall makes somebody 'speicla' in the sport of boxing.
