DaVarryl Williamson v. Ray Austin has been added to the October 31st card featuring Agbeko v. Perez.

Looking at the WBC ratings, Austin (2) v. Williamson (8) could this been an eliminator for the #1 spot ???

Good fight, should be a fairly even match-up.

I think Austin wins by KO. But who knows, Austin is always a hot and cold fighter, he could go from doing well to having a draw with a journeyman.

Williamson had a glass jaw in his "prime." Austin is a mediocre fringe contender, but he has enough pop to take advantage of that. I doubt Williamson's chin has gotten any better with age!

My gut tells me that Austin has one of those "off nights" again, and Williamson gets the win to keep his career alive.

Interesting match-up, although pointless. I must agree with above..

The first fighter that manage to stay on the wheel chair wins. Those Don King Heavyweight sure are old adn shot, Austin, Golota, Williamson, Ruiz, McCline, Mehan, all those guys are a few years to get the Social Security.

Austin should win this one if he is at his best.

No he didn't. Watch the Derrick Jefferson fight: TOS has him hurt badly but then Jefferson comes back and lands one of the biggest right hands I have ever seen. Jefferson has huge power (reminder: Maurice Harris KO). TOS was clearly shaken (who wouldn't be?) but came back and knocked out Jefferson shortly after. TOS also took some crisp right hand without going down.
So no granite chin for sure, but definitely not glass.

I am picking TOS. If Golota doesn't get hurt, then Austin would have got really hurt when they fought. Austin freezes against bigger punchers and he will if TOS still has power in that right hand.

That's why Williamson got laid out by Mesi in less than a round and KTFO by Kali Meehan right??

If it shatters like glass, multiple times, it likely is glass. Ever think that Jefferson's "power" was overrated. Other than Harris - who's chin was china too, btw - who of any note did he KO? He's probably better known for getting starched every time he stepped it up!

Anyone who says Williamson does not have a Glass Jaw does not need to bother watching Boxing. His Chin is abysmal and that is being generous.

He got caught cold against Mesi, and Meehan landed a hail-mary punch that caught TOS on the temple.

(Incidentally, TOS got up from Meehan's shot, it was the ringside doctor that stopped the fight between rounds.)

Williamson has an "ok" chin. He's taken big shots from Wladimir, Jefferson, Corey "T-Rex" Sanders, McCall and held his own.

I define a "glass chin" as any fighter that can't take any shot (ie: Michael Bennett)....
