Floyd looks like a new man in his latest interview with Brian Kenney. I think the whole narcissist image is nothing more then an act in order to promote fights. Floyd is big enough now that he doesn't need a WWE gimmick to sell a fight. If you didn't catch it here is the link to the interview..... http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4501787
I don't think he's a new man, I think he's just going to be himself just like his Mama told him. :good
now i'm starting to think that he money trouble rumors with floyd were true...he sold ALL his cars and just kept one Rolls? Sounds like he needed to liquidate and then cut expenses. I'm happy to see he's smartening up though man...Its like I'm seeing a boy turn in to a man.
maybe now he can get the respect he deserves. he really doesnt need to act out anymore. that was all for hype anyway and as last weekend proved, he can draw without verbally degrading his opponent.
He talked smack enough in his younger years and obviously he's growing up and has no desire to act silly anymore, he's showing far more respect to everyone mentioned too. Many people tend to talk a lot of crap when young then just ditch it as they grow up, Mayweather isn't 26 anymore to continue that kind of talk. If anyone remembers, in his early days as a professional he was quiet like he is now, it was his father that talked most of the trash during press conferences and Floyd would just sit there with a "WTF" look. He somehow went berserk since moving to 140+.
I hope this change of life doesn't dim the fire in his heart ... I have a feeling that his previous attitude was part of his drive to be the best.
That's EXACTLY what I thought too but turned out to be wrong during the fight with Marquez. I thought he might have lost a few steps in the ring and is trying to calm things down if it doesn't go well OR he lost the desire and is just doing it for the money and is trying to avoid negative attention. All proven wrong with his performance though, he performed as always and didn't show any signs of inactivity at all.
Too many people get so heated over his personal life or his smack talk which is mainly a way of selling his fights, i personally don't give a **** if he acts up or not because the only thing i'm concerned about is what the dude does in the ring and as we saw last week the man is pure genius, i hope if/when the Pac fight happens he gets in Manny's face because imo it would make it even more of a mega fight if there's a little hostility involved like there was leading up to the Hatton fight.
He's starting to look more and more like his father, and is slowly talking with that scratch that his dad's voice has. Either way, good to see, though I don't see it lasting.
