theres a difference..in ortiz and pdl ortiz had/has huge potential..while pdl is kinda like a 1 trick pony a slugger with power thats all hell ever be not the sharpest tool in the box..ortiz can be p4p top 10 in the future and yes that is vega lol  finally some1 got it.

i'm glad Maidana pulled the upset. Sometimes the hungrier guy wins the fight and that's a good story.

There were talks about Ortiz taking on Pac. Hah...utter comedy.

I get what u say about De Leon.. and while u are also right about Ortiz possesing all the tools he is missing the main one 'heart'...

and i recognize vega cuz my boy is always beating my ass at street fighter.. he is bad ass at that game.

ortiz showed me heart when he got up from the first knockdown it was brutal and he was hurt..he ''quit'' though he had nothing left a few more seconds and he be out..the critics will always critisize..i dunno well just have to wait and see..oh and his interview was pretty stupid like i said the only thing that will set things right is if he rematches maidana and outclasses him like i think he should be able too no offense to maidana hes a nice guy..but ortiz would be better for boxing period.

he sure as hell ain't marketable after that loss.

Maidana is a boxing fan's fighter. exciting, who cares if he's argentinian. just like we don't care about Ortiz's smile and personality. once you step in the ring, that sh*t goes out the door.

Victor learned a very hard lesson in life, hope he learns something from this and come a better fighter with a better perspective.

I don't know how far he could've gone or could still go and no one can tell you that... but what I can tell you is that even if he won the Maidana fight evryone would still be questioning his shaky chin.

Victor Ortiz will be back with a bang, and he's going to be a huge draw in no time. He hasn't returned yet simply because of an injury, but believe me: as soon as he puts a legit win, most likely a world title in the bag, the Maidana memories will be (rightfully) remembered as the deep hole he dug himself out of bigtime.

Ortiz is destined for greatness, and now he realizes he's gonna have to work his ass off for it, so the loss works as a reality check and also for his popularity: people love to see the ups and downs, and Victor's only way now is up.

Yey maybe ortiz dont have the best chin(he was also dropped by dario eslias) but his chin aint china (see amir kahn) cuz he took some big shots from a big bomber and got up twice. DIdnt get cleanly ktfo by future journeyman prescott. Ortiz has great skills, great power. He just has to fight smarter in ther ring. Hopefully he will learn from this. If he does hell no doubt be a champ. I agree if he would have fought a more intelligent fight he would be the hottest new thing in the sport. Id still pick him against almost any jw. Just give him 1 or 2 fringe contenders or journeyman and he should be ready for any of the jws. Including bradley.

Nah, even if it's just Bob Arum saying it people were questioning Ortiz' heart before Maidana. I see no fate or possibilities.
