Lets talk about the future of Arreola. We know now that he cannot beat the best fighters at heavyweight. He was thoroughly outboxed in all realms. Due to the way Arreola disciplines himself will he fade away and stop training? Will he eat heavily and drink heavily? The best way to predict behavior is through someones past behavior. What do you all predict for Arreola?
Bolivian is too good for him. Bolivian is for guys who trained hard to hone their impetuous style and impregnable defense; but, are defeated by age.
No idea but I would fathom a guess that it was considerable. Likely between 1-2 million I would guess. Enough to party on and eat on for quite a while. But, who knows maybe Arreola will gain discipline from this win and train harder and become more of a pro.
TS, i think you meant to say OBLIVION vice BOLIVIAN. anyways, he might especially with his lazy, ho hum attitude!
I think he'll drop outta sight for about a half a year, then we'll read about him becoming rededicated and looking to comeback..........better conditioned and more dedicated............or so, he'll claim to be to generate interest in himself. I'd like to see Arreola fight Peter. I think I'd pick Arreola to win that one.
That could be an excellent fight. I'd pick Arreola based on recent performance. I think Arreola will bounce back from this, in time. This is one of those "good losses," at least from the fans' perspective.
Other than the Klit brothers, Valuev and Haye. I dont know any other heavyweights in the top 10. Arreola will be around because the division is so bad.
If I was handling him I would throw him right into two quick fights against jorneymen who dont pose a big threat and will boost his confidence. he would get two more KO's to pad the record. Get a couple fights in and dont let him take time off to get badly out of shape. This is a proven method of getting back into heavyweight title fights. Rahman made it an art form. I would then think about matching him against a Sam Peter in a year or 18 months so once Vitali gets to retirement age.
I hope that Arreola takes the positives from this fight and use it as a learning experience. Lesson one should be, you don't give yourself a good chance to win a championship if you have a beer gut.
