No, not Arreola saying 4 times '****' or "mother****er' on live television, but Jim and Larry Merchant saying some wise words:
"In a fight there has always be a winner and a loser ... unless it is a draw..."

Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us.

Often though a real draw is a win or a loss; quite often.

Actually, you missed Lampley's real word of wisdom when he said that no one who is a part time fighter is going to beat a Klitschko, ie, you can't come into a fight at 70 or 80 percent. You have to come in at 100 percent to even have a prayer against these guys. These are legitimate champions in a weak era. And nobody who says "what the f&%$ I'm gonna just do my best" has any chance against them.

Can't say i'm surprised by their comments; HBO seems to have constructed a comically inept team of muppets. Jim Lampley seems to shout his way through the performance, Max kellerman I actually think has too many chromosomes, and Larry Merchant is just senile and seems to take forver to get through his lines. Seriously, could he speak ANY slower?

Then on top of that we have the part timers: Lennox, one word: snore. And Manny Steward, to be fair, he knows his **** inside out but oh good god why does he have to mumble like that? he has one tone, doesn't seem to separate words, and I ****ing swear down he actually waits until exciting stuff is happening before he starts talking. He never speaks to fill duller moments, or inbetween rounds, he actualyl waits for knockdowns or wars to erupt, then he'll start talking over it in his lifeless manner.

This said however, they were nowhere near as bad as the commentators on the German stream, They didn't shut up for literally more than 2 seconds. And they had the lamest voices ever. And i swear they had at least 27 commentators ringside for the fight given the amount of voices going on during the broadcast.

Everytime Jim Lampley or Larry Merchant get ready to say something they think is profound, I just cringe.

Very true. There must always be a winner and a loser unless it is a draw.

    OR

If one guy wins the fight, but the other guy wins the event.

    OR

If one guy wins, but it's later overturned because of roids.

    OR

If the cut is caused by an accidental headbutt before the fourth round.

    OR

If they both get knocked out.

    OR

If the fight features PBF, in which case the real losers are the fans of action.
