He's going to baby sit that WBA strap (if he wins it) and he's going to keep it as far away as possible from either Klitschko and he's going to balk at every challenge. with that WBA strap he can fight the likes of Ruiz, Johnson, Valuev (rematch) Solis, Arreola, Whiterspoon ... basically he'll run through alot of fighters before he even considers truly stepping up to the plate ... He doesn't want to be the undisputed HW champion ... he wants to talk his way into the spotlight and wants to bull**** his way through the division. He might even consider his strap the HW strap and consider anything held by the klitschko's to be "super heavyweight"
Well if he beats Valuev, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a contract clause for a rematch and than he'll likely fight Ruiz. But than the WBA, Don King there all ****ing waco's so its hard to say what will transpire. I think he wants to fight the Klitscko's, because really that's where the money is and his stated several times that he want's to retire early on. I would assume this match will get made, because who else is there to fight or make fight in the division besides Haye vs Klitschko.
If he wins the WBA belt, and that's a big IF, expect a lot of fights with bums in England. They're gonna milk him for all he's worth.
Of course he'll fight a Klitschko, and if he wins (likely) then he'll fight the other one. He'll be on much better negociating terms once he's beaten Valuev. If they offer him the same bull**** contracts as last time we'll know that they're ducking him.
Vitali probably won't be around by the time Haye is free to fight; if he beats Valuev he'll probably have to get through Ruiz and Chagaev or something before he can pick who to fight. By that time VK will probably have retired. If not he will probably be in a state that Haye could probably take on, a lot more comfortably than now at least. In terms of Wlad, I think Haye would quite gladly take him on a bit further down the line, after some more fights. I dont really want to delve into the injury/bad contract thing again, so i'll just leave it at that.
I can already picture him giving weekly interviews in "The Sun", saying how he's the real HW Champ, how the Klitz don't want to fight him and how he brought the HW title back home to Britain, all the while fighting the bum of the month in Ruiz, Holyfield, Meehan and Austin
I had high Hopes for David Haye....but after that **** he pulled with the so called "back injury" and pulling out of the fight with Vitaly....I can't disagree with anything your saying. If he beats Valuev, I think he'll try and fight the likes of Holyfield, Toney and Ruiz....smaller washed up guys that aren't big punchers at Heavyweight....but you're right....I see Haye pulling a Felix Sturm, and just defending his meaningless belt against the weakest opposition his sanctioning body calls a contender.
Funny thing is you know **** all cos HBO are not covering his next fight and Setanta have gone bust you punk.
