The winner of Haye-Valuev Tua if he beats Cameron. That is all that is pressing. Pianeta is coming up fast. Boytsov is a couple of fights out. He could take either Chambers/Povetkin off of his brother's hands. Chagaev/Sultan/Peter/Lyakovich/Briggs are all making noise about comebacks. Ustinov would be fun just because it is a guy bigger than Klit. But really none of these guys are there yet.
Tua needs to beat a couple of contenders first. The same applies to Toney. Beating Cameron won't do it. Like you said, none of the other guys are there yet.
Nobody. Well him or his brother need to beat up the Haye/Valuev winner but other then that..... I'd want him to beat up James Toney, just for all the **** Toney has talked but really, that fight means nothing and Toney would have NO chance in it.
We only know what Toney has left when he fights a couple of contenders first. I expect him to take one last fight this year against a notable opponent. If Toney wins those fights, Vitali-Toney is the most interesting fight in the division. The trash tallk from Toney in the press conferences will be fun and is also something Vitali is not used to. Toney's head movement and body punches will put Vitali to the test. I do not see a beat down by Vitali.
haye making an easy defence against chag.. :smoke comon, no you don't mean it.. i personally see haye looking like a squeezed lemon after this fight, and easily with letter L on his record.
Haye will outpoint Valuev. He will use the Holyfield and Donald game plan, in and out with quickness and combinations. Haye is quicker than both of them and has better reflexes. IMO, valuev lost to Donaled, Ruiz; Holyfield. Unfortunately, haye will then make a couple of easy title defenses so that the Klit-Haye can gain more momentum. As for Vitali-Haye, I see Vitali winning by KO. Haye has a better shot against Wlad.
Toney got OUTBOXED by Sam Peter. His reflexes are shot and his defense is grossly overrated at this stage. There was a time when he was a great fighter with elite defensive skills. That time has long passed. And it doesn't matter anyway. Because even the Toney that beat Holyfield, the one that was on steroids, would be brutally beaten down by Vitali. Just an awful matchup. Toney never was, and isn't now an elite or even top heavyweight. I'd like to see Arreola vs Toney actually, or Arreola vs Peter.
Toney can't beat counted out at this point. He has proven in the past that he is at his best when written off. Peter indeed outboxed him but always felt Toney did not train properly for the fight and did too much weight lifting and was not mobile in his upper body movement.Toney still showed flashes of what he can do against Rahman II. Anyway, Toney has to put together a couple of decent wins. If that is the case the whole "Toney is shot" talks will disappear. I believe that the now 217 pound toney can still make an impact in a very weak division.
please note: i say no word about anyone but chagaev. refer to his name in my post. no easy fight there for haye, you likely have not seen much of chag's fights.. he beat valuev anyways.
ยดยดWho is left for Quitali?`` There's lot's of fat, tattooed mexicans out there for Vitali to feed on :happy Then the delusional Bitschko fanboys can start raving on Vitalis ˙˙incredible skills˙˙ and start making him an ATG beacuse he beat the ˙˙incredible˙˙ fat mexican who is humble enough to realise he's a nightmare. :deal
IMO, chagaev is nothing special. He is slow and has average power, his defense is ok though. He is kind of allrounder. He beat Valuev in a close fight but so did donald, holy and ruiz. His showing against Wlad was very disappointing. I would pick Haye to beat him.
i would be excited to see this fight. i'm not saying chag is the best guy out there but here is good fundamental fighter to give haye all he could handle.
He showed great stamina against Arreola over 10 rounds. FFS, the man thew 800 punches. He just beat the crap out of a man 10 years younger, and showed great accuracy & decent handspeed doing so. His reflexes were great - he would stand in front of a power puncher and pull away at the last second, popping Arreola as he slipped the punch. WTF are you going on about?
