I think it will be on DAVE. Red Bull X-Fighters then Top Gear re-run then Mock the Week then THE SUPER SIX WORLD BOXING CLASSIC hosted by Danny Dyer!
Imagine Dave Darts trying to do research on Direll and Ward and attempting to come off as an expert - (shivermetimbers eeuugghh)
An unexpected backlash:conf. Sorry, boys, I accept got caught up in the excitement and started looking for more 'buzz words' in Alba's post. You have to wonder why Kessler is there as well, though. If it's a one-off then why the hell fly him in?:think:good He'll always have the autocue to fall back on if things go tits up. As I've said before, Smith isn't too bad an anchorman, IMO. Sky should just give Rawling the commentary job, or just stick full time with Darke, and put Smith up with the 'panel'- that would be a huge improvement. That's neither here or there at the moment, though- I'm just glad we've got at least one fight to look forward to from the tourney:happy:good.
Its a just 2 hour flight for Kessler, casuals will still remember him from the JC fight. Dirrell is still an "who's he?" with most non-boxing fans. They may just be flying him in for those reasons. On the other hand he MIGHT be there because the whole touney has been sold to TV but its far from a 'given'.
I'd be overjoyed if it was ESPN, though it's exceedingly doubtful. Probably SKY 50 quid ppv or something....
that gomez always drops the facts before anywhere n whenever ive sent a question i got a straight answer - said ronson frank was the american spar and also said that carl was blacking his windows out and all ready for the late fight also said bar was gonna be open until 2am and possibly later which is more good news. Was worried it would stop serving at 11pm. will ask if the taylor fight will be on in the arena next.
We still haven't really confirmed whether Hennessy Sports own UK rights to all of Froch's fights or just those based in the UK. Do we even know which country his second fight will be in yet?
Realistically if Kessler is there to announce a TV ideal it's going to be the whole tournament. Can't see them saying 'This is Mikkel Kessler, he lost to Calzaghe if you remember, well we've flown him in to tell you that you can see Froch-Dirrell on ESPN now here is Chris Waddle to tell you about our exciting coverage of the Russian Cup'
Next round of fixtures don't get announced until after the Kessler v Ward fight. But I think the plan was that Froch would have to go to Germany and Denmark to face Abraham and Kessler.
If it was on sky i would have expected them to have at least mentioned it...i remeber when Haye-Klitschko was announced, sky didn't even acknowledge they were set to fight, so i would have thought they would be trying to generate interest...it shows the sorry state of boxing on british tv when a british world champion is struggling to get tv coverage
ESPN need to get into showing boxing, or I'm going to go Michael Douglas in Falling Down on the *******s
:rofl:rofl If this all came from Gomez then you can bank on it. I'm going the Dirrell fight but its fantastic news if the rest gets shown.
