    no, its not a prime for prime poll. i just found this;

    the worst thing is, there will be somewhere in the world willing to sanction it. i hope VK doesn't take this fight, it is meaningless and potentially very dangerous

    I'd rather see Holyfield @ 46 embarass Haye should he win or Vluev in a rematch.

    But VK against anyone is good.

    I live in Korea. I might have to get myself to this. I always wanted to see the Real Deal. I agree though, Holyfield vs Vitali is not a fight I want to see. There is no chance of an Evander victory and he will take too much punishment in the process.

    i realise a lot of people really don't like david haye and don't rate him, but he would run rings around holyfield imo. it would go the way of the ibragimov fight

    vitali doesn't stand to gain anything fighting holyfield. if the WBC ever tried to force a holyfield-klitschko fight i would have a lot of respect for klitschko (either of them) if they simply refused to fight and gave up a belt for it. quite obviously the WBC aren't opposed to the idea though, their attempts to make vitali fight maskaev show that.

    holyfield-maskaev might make a decent fight come to think of it. i'd hate it to be an eliminator for a shot at vitali, but it would be an interesting one otherwise

    Wow.

    I hope Holyfield makes good money from the Klitschko fight, cuz there will be tons of medical bills to pay afterwards. I respect Holyfield a lot, but he's out of his league against the Klitschko's. He BARELY has a chance against the winner of Valuev/Haye in the WBA.

    Holyfield should fight Haye instead - although a match with Vitali makes sense to me. Vitali is not long for the division anyway. He may as well fight the holdovers from the previous decade.

    Even prime for prime this would've been a tough match for Holyfield...... right now, it's straight down suicide. I can understand he [Evander] wants (and needs) the payday, but hopefully he'll remain retired or at least have winnable fights.

    I would watch Holy-Vitali. I won't watch Vitali-Johnson or Vitali-Maskaev.

    Anyone remember how Vitali wanted to fight Evander a couple of years ago? But I believe Evander lost to Larry Donald so Vitali had to face Donald in the WBA title eliminator.

    Vitali did want to fight Holyfield years ago, when Holyfield was still a kind of serious opponent, but now? Still, I'd grant Holyfield one more chance to cash some real money, since he has lots of mouths to feed and obviously no other talent then boxing... And the bout would NOT be really dangerous for Holyfield anyway, because no way Vitali would hit him as hard as he can, he's a gentleman not an bloodthirsty moron. Vitali would box him like he did Arreola, but would tame his punches so not to hurt Holyfield seriously. Vitali would apply more and more punching power as the rounds go, until Holyfields corner throws the towel in say 11th round. Holyfield would absorb hundreds of clean shots, but nothing really hard, would be able to claim to have lasted longer then Peter, Gomez and Arreola, would cash in his purse and have the opportunity to retire in honour for having a good stand against Vitali at 47 years of age. Or he could even ink a fight with Wladimir too and repeat the same procedure for one more decent purse to secure him for life. Who wouldn't grant Holyfield that? Vitali and Wladimir would rather eat their gloves then to punch with full power and risk to hurt the old Holyfield seriously, he's a living legend meanwhile...

    Watching a tape of this fight will be watching a snuff flick with a boxing theme, nothing more.

    Fantasy....won't happen. Vitali wants to retire soon and would want credible opponents not a circus.
