This will be Haye toughest fight ever. Can he pull it off? Certainly. But he better not make any mistakes and be ready to box fully concentrated and have stamina for a full 12 rounds.

 

naw it will probably be a unanimous decision. Valuev's head is the size Calderon's entire body...but Haye's stock would go through the roof if he actually floored lil big nicky

 

The Giant has been on a slide for some time and is not even a top ten heavy anymore. But Haye has done absolutely nothing to convince anyone save the acolytes that he can do anything in the division. The more I look at it, the more I see that his resume is onion paper thin? Was he a great cruiserweight? Not by any stretch of the imagination. Haye fans love to brag that he unified the titles. Well, how many title defenses did he have? What was the? One. One goddamn title defense. And how many times has he fought in the last two years? Twice? Yeah, twice against two guys who are currently unranked by any organizing body: the bum Enzo Mac, and the one time washed up contender, Monte Barrett. Any momentum that Haye once has he has pissed away these last two years. Should he beat the caveman. Of course. Then again, I'd favor 20 other heavyweights, including old Holyfield to beat up on the talentless bohemeth again.

Haye needs to punch upwards for almost a foot... Now THAT's a challenge. And Valuev was never down in 50+ fights. I don't know if he ever heard a count, too...

 

Oh, I agree that he'll win. But I don't think it means anything. It will be Haye's biggest victory at heavy, which, again, say very little. Honestly, I have no idea what he's done to deserve a title shot except demonstrate the ability to sell tickets, when he's badmouthing a Klitschko.

When he does win, I really do hope he actually puts up and fights either a Klitschko or one of the younger fighters in the division. There's no way any American or Eastern European will have any interest watching Haye beat the same old Don King retreads: John Ruiz, Kalli, Golota.

 

It's easy to never taste canvas when he has never faced a puncher. Seriously, look at the guys he's fought. Both Ruiz and Chageave haven't had legitimate Ko's in ages. They have very carefully selected a group of fighters who either can punch (Ruiz) or are wll past their prime (Holyfield). Haye is the first legitimate puncher that Valuev will have ever faced.
