I wonder if Fritz really neglected Wladimirs conditioning or if it was more a case of getting him to relax more.
Good but not great. As people have said, lacks a bit of variety. Tries to make and treats a lot of fighters the same and neglects individual traits. Also a very pertinent point made is the fact a lot of his fighters gas in the later rounds. He should really take a look at that, it can not be coincidence.
Valouev's old trainer was much better than his new trainer. His new trainer wants Valouev to win by decision, not use his power, which is stupid. I like the old Valoeuv much better. Sdunek is good trainer for Vitali.
He's a good trainer IMO though I would say that his real strength is conditioning. Vitali beats everyone so handily that Sdenek really doesn't need to say much and Erdei's opposition isn't strong enough to warrant any fight-changing cornerwork on Fritz's behalf either.
Sdunek and Wegner are the best German coaches. I don't know how to compare them with the American ones, but both have great success with what they do.
Kinda conflicting opinions now ... some say that his strength is conditioning and others say the opposite. He does seem to teach the fundamentals pretty well though ... i don't see many of his pupils make any major flaws. I wonder how much he is to credit for Vitali's style....
If you see that all of his fighters have completely different fundamental styles, like Michalczewski (boxer puncher with a stiff jab and hard single punches), Erdei (jabber and counter boxer with very good eye), Vitali (awkward russian lean back and counter style), Wlad (orthodox boxer puncher with a large variety of offensive combinations, missing a defense), Gevor (aggressive inside volume puncher), you see that Sdunek doesn't have one trademark style. He seems to work with the setup fighters bring with them from their amateur days. If that doesn't work, he seems to get lost (Wlad vs. Purrity gassing only, Wlad vs. Sanders getting countered, Gevor overdoing the pitbull style vs. Sturm when he had astonishingly good success with distance boxing too).
So he doesn't really teach a particular style but just fine tunes the style a fighter brings to him ?
