Man I can't wait for this tourney to start. Not a bad fight in the thing. The last two Saturdays weren't exactly barn-burners. I have one quick question tho': I just read Vivek's mailbag and he said something akin to "If Jermaine loses, it's a wrap." I thought this thing was a round robin with 3 fights guaranteed to each participant. Am I mistaken. How does Jermaine hypothetically losing to AA mean that he should hang 'em up? I mean, doesn't he get two more matches? Why do folks keep saying "it's over" if he loses? I've read this from a couple of scribes now and its beginning to irk me.
coz if abraham smashes him he mite want to retire in good health. not sure if u gota pay a fine for pulling out but in all honesty think he'll give it another crack
Taylor will not quit. If he loses to AA and quits he will probably have difficulties finding new big fights. HBO and Showtime would probably not be interested in anything else than as a old hands for their upcoming names to beat up for little money. However, in the SS he gets an unusual chance for a revival in a big fight for millions of dollars. He would be crazy to stop - unless it is because he wants out of boxing all together. If he stays in boxing, he will not get a better deal - and anything close.
Exactly. If Taylor loses his first fight, he should continue because he'll make more money losing on Showtime than not fighting at all.
