Froch fight to be aired live on british ppv and radio 5 live

    CARL Froch's first super six fight against Andre Dirrell in Nottingham next month will be aired live on BBC Radio 5 Live and the UK's newest pay-per-view channel Primetime, it was announced today.
    Froch will defend his WBC super-middleweight belt against the American at the Trent FM Arena and the bout is expected to start at 2am on October 18.

    if mick had sense he would have sold it to a terrestrial channel for less money. This would give froch a ton more viewers and more barganing power for the future fights.

    Instead hes going to make **** all out of this and keep a potentially big fish in a very small pond.

    Plus its only on sky apparently and not on Virgin or freeview.

    Froch could become a big star by fighting on terrestrial TV... If it's less money than PPV it won't matter as he'll make it up in sponsorship deals. Look at Amir Khan - gazillionaire before his 10th fight off his various deals.

    Hennessy's an utter twat. This is going to make next to nothing on a channel no-one knows at 2am with no publicity.

    He'd have been better off giving it to ITV for free. The reported best offer for the fight was £100,000. That's way more than he can hope to make from this.
