**Paulie Malignaggi**

- Paulie has every right to be pissed and he has some profile in the sport, so he's using it. Can't fault him for that. In the end, it may even help the sport (HBO, for example, wants the rematch, likely in part to distance itself from the stink of the first one)
- I thought Herman got jobbed and a rematch would have been in order; Paulie's the bigger name and he dodged it. Bad on him, but that's the sport. With the Hatton fight a possibility, admit it, you would have done the same thing.
- These are different cases - the Juan/Paulie fight would be a decent payday for both; Herman II would have been high risk/low reward.
- Herman did get another title shot (hometown, too), at Paulie's old title, in fact, so he did get what he deserved. Doesn't exonerate Paulie, just sayin'...

There's a double standard here, but as boxing goes, it's not that bad of one. Herman made that close loss pay off for him, Paulie's doing the same. Be nice for Paulie to have that come up in an interview, though, gotta admit that.

 

People forget herman got a hometown gift as well.... against randall bailey before the paulie fight....

 

Paulie has said why he took this fight.....maike alvarado pulled out of a fight with him, and then gbp came calling and offered him the juan diaz fight....he took the fight, but all he ask for was neutral officials...like bob papa said that night in a fight like this....your supposed to get one judge from new york, one from texas, and one neutral......there was a judge from california who paulie's team apporoved of week or 2 before the fight, and that judge got replaced by raul caiz...do you think its fair for diaz if one of the judges was an italian american? no it wouldnt be....

remember how floyd had his first fight at 135 against the best LW at the time castillo? what did floyd do after the controversy? he gave castillo a re-match right away, and won the second fight to prove who really was the better fighter.....juan should do the same, if juan beats his ass, then juan proves the critics wrong.....but by saying no, is just bad for the game....

Paulie has a definate case to argue over the judges verdict in the Diaz fight.

 

So what. How are they relevant?

Paulie Malinaggi is fighting for his liveleyhood and so if a judge makes an outrageous and nonsense call on something so crucial to him, he has every right to call it out.

Herman went and got a world title shot. PM already had taken alot of **** before the Diaz fight even started.

 

1. This fight was not a robbery. Diaz managed to impress the judges more so than ***nilaggi.

2. Van Hoy's scorecard was a travesty, no doubt about it. Is that Diaz' fault? No.

3. ***nilaggi KNEW prior to this bout that the odds were stacked against him, in his own twisted opinion, yet he never fought as if he wanted to win. He fought not to lose.

4. ***nilaggi is BORING and has done NOTHING to deserve this exposure. When he first faced Cotto, he did exactly what to earn that fight? I'll be waiting on that one.

5. This fight sucked. I wouldn't care if this fight were to take place at 135 or 140. It would still stink. Their fights would always play out to one guy trying to fight, and one girl trying not to fight.

6. Some advice for ***nilaggi. If you want people to pay so they can watch you fight, then do so. If you want people to pay so that they can watch you shadow box, then you have some serious career decisions to make.

 

This post is hella bias but it does have alot of truth to it.
