Please do Philly. I would prefer u follow this procedure from now on. Good to see IBO getting their organisation in order finally. Philly's leading a fine example boys.:deal
Action better bring his A game when he fights this guy, He did a demolition job on Rey 'Boom Boom" Bautista, whom a lot of ppl had huges raps on (next pacman etc), and was a class fighter. Cant wait to catch it on fox
LOL. So they finally found someone? How nice. I guess IBO title fights are a bit like that. Most would expect to find them in your top 15 rankings but we know the BO doesn't exactly work like that. Finding and sanctioning Ruiz must have been a bit like the movie BEVERLEY HILLS CHIHUAHUA. Mexico, lost and found...good flick actually. Comedy. Just like the IBO. I could ramble that Ruiz has been a career bantam and has had the grand total of ONE fight at featherweight against a guy who had 1W 22L. But that earned him a #17 ranking so it's all good. Maybe you can find a spot for Asiku at featherweight. Not in your top 100. But he is #36 at super feather. Ahh well, close enough. Should be a good fight. Asiku may be too big for him but Ruiz has been in with some good guys.
Should be fine Phil....but i would be disappointed tho if i didnt see u with a different bright colour of shoes next time your on TV.:deal
Making an IBO title fight is easy Jet these days. Get 2 guys ranked inside the top 50 in 2 completely different weight classes & put them together. Then again we can always make exemptions like the Danny Green IBO farce from August.:deal
actually to be honest I can't be bothered getting into these ******** arguments with the likes of you so enjoy!
Geez boys, I think we're all being a bit harsh on here towards Phil and the IBO. We all seem to armchair experts and casting judgement, yet no one appears to be actually involved in the complexities of putting it together. Good on Angelo Hyder for putting the fight on when to be fair, IMO Jackson won't be a big seller for tickets and tables, hence with sanctioning fees etc, it's a costly fight to put on, yet he's still willing to do so. It's bloody hard sourcing fighters to come to Australia who fit a criteria and generally speaking outprice themselves so I can appreciate their far and wide search. And good on Jackson for getting a shot. I personally don't mind the IBO, the rankings criteria the go by and where their trying to head with their sanctioning body. I much prefer them than the WBA with their 2.3 average 'champion' per weight class bull****! The Mexican's record is good, he's been in with some decent fighters (Raf Marquez, Cristobel Cruz) and at 31, whilst the majority of his career has been at the lighter weights, he may be just sick of putting his body through the weight loss and comfortable at F/W as such. Either way, I'm looking forward to it, should make for a great fight, both live and I would think will come across good on TV also. :thumbsup
