No more of them this early, anyway. HBO's 24-7 will tell the tale, trust me. Freddie Roach hasn't sounded all that confident lately. He said that Manny hasn't been looking good in sparring...that he is getting hit too much...that his timing and reflexes "aren't there"...yet. Remember, Roach initially predicted a knockout, then began complaining about not being able to reach Pac, and sometime later, he went from "knockout" to "decision". Roach's attitude and demeanor on 24-7 could give a good clue to how the fight will turn out, because Freddie isn't one to mince words. If Freddie isn't starting to sound more confident by the time 24-7 rolls around, then Pacquiao might be in for a painful night. But if Roach starts sounding as confident as he did going into the Hatton fight...well, it might be another step up the ladder for our man Pac.

I feel comfortable in making a prediction without the help of a emotionally involved Freddie Roach or a 24/7 series. I think Cotto wins the fight based not only on his size, but his ability to box effectively and smartly, which will see him make more contact than a Ricky Hatton or severely weakened Oscar De La Hoya. My opinion isn't gospel, I could be proven wrong, but I make Cotto a 60/40 favorite. I doubt that Manny can take the firepower of a big strong Welterweight in Cotto. We shall see, I cannot wait...simply.

Well he already did go back to Knockout from decision, in a recent interview he said he was surprised with how sharp Pac looked.

Anyway, predictions are fun even this early. It's fun seeing how the opinions of the people change with every pic, video or news item that comes out :good

Shut up. I picked Pac/ODLH and Pac/Hatton as soon as they were talked about!

On-the-other hand, I am waiting to predict this one! LOL

    24/7 won't tell us much.

Can anyone really trust anything Freddie Roach says? He is an intelligent promotional machine like PBF, he knows what to say to sell tickets and get more PPV's.

Can anyone trust anybody when it comes to selling tickets. Promoters, trainers, boxers, writers etc. all do the same thing, not just Roach or PBF.

Boxing is, too often, crooked. Should we call in Rev. Don King?

Just don't bet your house Jeff. Both fighters are capable of winning this fight.

HBO 24-7 does NOT tell the tale at all. Think of Calzaghe Jones and more recently Mayweather - Marquez.

If you're letting a prediction be swayed by a (highly edited) 24/7 and/or the pronouncements of a media-savy trainer, you're going to be further off base than someone making the prediction 6 months ago. Terrible reasoning.

I didn't say 24-7 always tells the tale. I said 24-7 will tell the tale in this particular fight.
