Yes it was a good tuneup fight for Floyd... I have no problem with it being a tuneup fight since I knew from the start that it's a tuneup/mismatch fight... The problem lies in the promotion where it's being advertised as a megafight... The fans and viewing public were fooled by the promoters hyping it as a competitive megafight... If they only accept and stated that it's a tuneup fight for Floyd after an almost 2 years in retirement then there will be no problem at all... Just pity the fans/public being coerced to buy that tuneup/mismatch fight thru false advertisement... Hardcore boxing fans knew that JMM has a very slim chance of winning... Now some of those who bought the fight were very disappointed and were asking for refund... Good that I didn't pay a cent for it...

Boxing fans loved the fight. And they bought it to see Floyd. A shantytown dwelling ******* like you wouldnt know what a clinical performance by one the all time masters of the game looks like. As to why you didnt buy the fight. Personally I got my moneys worth, and Im sure most felt the same.

Now stop being a sore loser because you realized that in terms of stardom, Pacquiao is still third world compared to Floyd.

Why would u advertise it as a tune up when u can advertise it as the best coming back to fight the 2nd ranked which is pretty much what they did..Mexico's number one vs our number one....#2 ranked in the world..NOBODY CRITICIZED OTHER FIGHTERS FOR TAKING TUNE UPS..EVEN MY FAVORITE FIGHTER OF ALL TIME SRL FOUGHT TUNE UP FIGHTS...

If you supported what the promoters were doing for that fight, you become an accessory in fooling the less informed casual fans into buying that fight... We hardcore boxing fans knew that it's a tuneup fight, a mismatch fight where Floyd has almost all the advantages and we knew that JMM has a very slim chance to win... Are you not feeling guilty in misinforming the casual fans regarding the true circumstances of that fight??;)

Buzzard, boy you are a sad little man. NONE of this nonesence you saying makes any difference. The fight was a hit at the box office and sold over a million PPV's. You can turn it sideways upside down inside out and nothing you say will change that. Besides many of the ass clowns that said they wanted a refund also said that they wasnt going to get the fight in the first place. So as i have said 1000 times polls here mean dick.

You haven't voted in that Fight Evaluation poll yet... Most Floydettes voted that "Yes they were satisfied, the fight came out as what they expected, a joke tuneup mismatch fight"... Are you also voting for this option??

    You can vote --> HERE...;)

    This is very subjective.....

1- I can tell a "casual fan" to watch a fight that I think is going to be a great fight...at the end of the day the fight itself might end up as a mismatch..... Should I feel guilty for this?????

2- I can tell a "casual fan" NOT to watch a fight that I think is going to be a mismatch (same as you did with your campaign) ..... but at the end of the day the fight itself might end up as one of the greatest upset in history..... Should I feel guilty for this?????

As a side note.... a friend of mind asked me at a bar we usually go, about my opinion on the fight between Paul Williams vs Quintana I, and I told him that Williams was going to kill Quintana.... guess what.... Williams lost the fight and my friend, who happens to be a "casual fan" told me that I didn't know ****...... of course I had to wait for the rematch to make my point clear.

Bottom line is that the so-called casual fan is a myth..... real fans are the ones that pay most of the times for the PPV fights.... and real fans cant be fooled unless they want to......

....... let me just quote your statement regarding "hardcore fans"

So basically most of the people who paid the PPV FM vs JMM were real boxing fans who wanted to see the fight and knew pretty much the outcome..... whether they were Marquez fans or PBF fans..... and they wanted to suport their fav..... They are the ones to blame on....

you are not too bright are you. look in my posting history and try to find a single post that I insisted that mayweather is not a draw.

i recognize that he is a draw and continuously insist that he will beat pac.

what you stupid hating inbred denegerate cannot understand is I gave you a short lesson on business 101.

what i am trying to lead at is that while we can consider pbf a draw, it would be stupid also to assume, just like you pbf dicksucking brigade to think that he is the messiah or something.

if he is the ultimate draw, as you want him to project, then why the hell was the venue only filled up to around 75% with almost a thousand tickets given as giveaway?

you are not too bright are you. recent performance is always indicative of future purses. you always try to make this out as some megafight. i have said before and i will say it again. this is not a megafight, considering majority of esb hardcore fans correctly pointed out that it was a mismatch.

no it was not a dominating performance out of sheer disparity in skill. it was a dominating performance born largely because of disparity in physique. below are the figures that you need to understand why some people think it was a joke of a fight.

    120-107.

as a impartial boxing fan, do you think this is the score of superfight?

Have you ever watched Trinidad-Hops or Trinidad-Wright or Cal-Lacy? Or did you not consider those fights "superfights"?

Please explain how the disparity in physique got Floyd those scores, since Floyd boxed only from the outside and did not use his superior strenght offensively or defensively at all.

Yes it was a comeback fight. I dont know what people expect from comeback fights. However, HBO and the promoters would be stupid to promote this as a tuneup. They are in the business of making a buck of course.

SO NOW BECAUSE I ENJOYED THE FIGHT THAN I AM AN IDIOT IS BASICALLY WHAT UR SAYING...AGAIN BUXZER U GET NO CREDIT.....HOW COME ONLY 1.2 MILLION ORDERED DE LA HOYA-PAC WHEN JMM AND FLOYD IN UR EYES AREN'T WORTH NE THING FROM A DRAW STANDPOINT...

TO FURTHER MY OWNING OF YOU ILL SAY THAT FLOYD IS CONSISTENTLY DOING THESE NUMBERS...ITS NOT AS IF HE FOUGHT OSCAR DE LA HOYA AND HIS VERY NEXT FIGHT HE DID A MEASLEY 200,000 BUYS...HE IS CONSISTENTLY PULLING IN NUMBERS THAT NO ACTIVE FIGHTER TODAY IS PULLING IN ....

U ACT AS IF NOBODY ENJOYS HIS CRAFT AND HIS FIGHTS SUCK..

WELL IF THATS THE CASE THAN WHY IS HE CONSISTENTLY PULLING IN THE NUMBERS HE IS PULLING IN? You should invest in a career dvd set in Floyd..its around 40 dollars and it will show you his early fights at 130 when he would mix it up...It would also show that he didnt come up makin 50 thousand like Oscar for his 3rd fight..

THE KEY WORD IS CONSISTENT BUXZER..GO LOOK IT UP IN A DICTIONARY

Skill fighters need strenghth as well......

Mayweather often bumped and used his footspeed to evade JMM incoming.
....often times bumping and then using his left forearm to place over Marquez' shoulder and push him downward.
    ....these antics require strenghth.

.....as much as when Marquez punched his way in an attempt to get Mayweather on the ropes.....Mayweather was physically superior that he could either spin his way out (which btw does require strenghth) ...when you spin away bodies brush against eachother, and if you're physically superior, its that much easier for the smaller guy to get to tossed as the bigger faster guy is spinning away.

You might say that JMM could'nt cut the path for Mayweather to spin out......I say that in the instances where the path was cut, Mayweather's physical strenghth prevented Marquez from holding his ground.

.....just dont come here uneducated and saying that Mayweather's pure skill won him the fight.......when it was plain to see that Marquez had no avenue of recourse to which to turn the tide.....quickness, speed, size, and strenghth, all favored Mayweather.......and it widened even further once Mayweather decided he was going to come in over the weight limit!

I'm one of Marquez biggest fans on this board, and I said from the beggining that this fight needed to be fought at 142 lbs or lower to be considered a fair matchup.
Mayweather had'nt weighed that low in a while, but he has'nt been far off that weight either where one could say that coming down 4 or 5 lbs from the welterweight limit would have put Mayweather at too much of a weakened situation.

Would Mayweather have struggled to come down to 142 lbs??
Only because he's not accustomed to dehydrating his body at all.

.....but I guarantee you fighters like Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto dehydrate and struggle to make their weight limits, much more than what Mayweather would have had to struggle to make 142 lbs.

.......it did'nt happen, and well, Mayweather was'nt sporting enough to give us the satisfaction to the possibility that his matchup with Marquez may have become competitive otherwise.

Bottom line is that Mayweather, has now become the Ray Leonard and DLH of the current era......"I fight and I do whatever and whenever the hell I please. Everything is to be to my advantage. **** the fans!":?
