Some of you are amazing, and not only drink the kool-aid but inject. Betting on Tua to beat Wlad? After one fight against an unknown, where he knocked the guy out but exhibited ZERO defence? atsch
Lamon Brewsters left hook must be in a league of its own than eh? How about Wladimir stops being scared to put away Sultan Ibragimov when he can barely take Wlads jab, was that too risky, I mean, maybe Wlad knew something about Sultan that we didnt. Bad matchup for Tua most definitely, seeing as how Wladimir fights so similar to Lewis, but you cant count Tua out, especially if you cant count Lamon Brewster or Corrie Sanders out..Yeah, I understand that was some years ago.. But since the KO loss the only real punchers hes fought were Brewster himself, who should have had an eyepatch on, and Sam Peter, who put him down a few times.. My prediction, Wlad - UD Tua Vitali - UD Tua. but Tua has a chance against either(it is boxing), and a much better one against Wladimir.
lol at people expecting something different. Wlad will outpoint him and potentially stop him, Tua was getting hit too often and all he has is godlike power in his hands. But if you can't land, they mean **** all.
If Lennox couldnt stop him, what makes you think Wlad can? Let me guess, his age, have you actually seen anything to make you believe his punch resistance isnt what it once was? Or are you just assuming?...Also, on the whole Wlad being so similar to Lennox thing, you realize the little Tua did hit Lennox, those were shots that would have probably sat Klitschko down.
tua is older, his defense is poor..wlad s gonna hit more often than lewis did.lewis was toying with tua...wlad will land jabs and rights all night long...ref will stop the fight,or tua s corner...it will be a brutal beating.
Tua was knocked out by Felix Savon. Of course he has shown great punch resistance during his career but anybody can be stopped.
Anyone can get stopped, punch resistance or not, and I said potentially, I don't expect it to happen nor would I bet on it but I wouldn't rule it out either. Sure, he's a little older, but Wlad could quite easily stave him off with the jab, and maybe I'm jumping the gun for the stoppage due to both Klitschko's stopping a lot of their opponents recently, but I wouldn't rule it out just because he's David Tua.
You probably didn't see the fight but Ibragimov (a southpaw) was crouching in a low position for most of the fight, turning his right shoulder to Wlad. He was waiting for Wlad to unload a right so he can "jump" with his left into Wlad's face. Wlad was way too smart to play ridiculous games like that with Iggy. People are bitching about Wlad not taking out Iggy, I say fine, but why not also ***** at Iggy for NOT COMING INTO THE RIGHT TO FIGHT but to play foolish games.

Tua is a heavy hitter, but he's to dame short to pull if off. I remember seeing him fight Lenox Lewis who is about Wlad height, and he could barely even hit lewis because of his height and jab. I have no doubt that if Tua connected that he would knock Wlad out, but he's gonna have to eat a lot of jabs and hard ass hooks to get there first.
How about Tua beats a contender first and actually EARNS his titleshot? He looked spectacular against Cameron, but his opponent was mediocre at best. Wlad will keep him at bay all night long, a repetition of Lennox-Tua, or better put: Wlad vs Brewster II. Also, Cameron was only 6'1 or 6'2; Wlad at 6'6 is going to be a lot safer from that lunging left hook. Look how much trouble he had landing it on Lennox. He's always got that punchers chance, but i think he'll lose rounds one-sidedly in an otherwise boring affair, whereas a guy like Povetkin (who's actually earned his shot) could make for some action packed rounds.
Tua is a definate heavy underdog against Wlad. But he is more of a dangerous opponent than most are against Wlad, because he can certainly spark Wlad with one punch. And he carries his power until the end of the fight. Likely he will lose every round in a slow-paced dance with an ultra-ultra-cautious Wlad. But David Tua only needs to dominate five seconds of the fight, and he becomes the champion. His hands were fast tonight, and he is an ATG one-shot KO artist at heavyweight. :hat
