That Friday 13th guy is actually one of the most underrated fringe contenders out there, his manager is a bit of an idiot

Im a big Tua fan but seriously guys Tua almost always looks devastating against sub par opposition.

Every time he has stepped up against a champion he failed to deliver and it would be no difference against either Klitschko.

But well done and good job Tua

Never said they were great or even good, but they were at least decent, competent boxers. The majority of the guys that Cameron beat were guys who boxed in their spare time when they werent working.
Witherspoon is actually considered one of the better young heavyweights around.

Arreola isnt anything special, and the guys he beat arent great. They're still a couple of notches above Cameron and several above the guys he has fought.

    Im off to bed.

That was a great knockout but it proves absolutely nothing because the opponent was very limited. If Mike Tyson got to a decent shape now he would do exactly the same to this guy.

Either Klitschko will jab Tua's face into hamburger.

    Exactly.

I saw the same ol' Tua in the first round. Until he had Cameron hurt, he was confused by Cameron's weak-ass jab and had to re-set his feet whenever he got hit.

He's a monster when on top, but he's easy to put in a shell - just keep a jab in his face and he resorts to wild hooks which often miss by feet, not inches.

Vitali would probably beat him without many problems. Tua would have a puncher's chance, but that's all he ever has against elite opponents.

It must be said though - looking great against garbage is precisely what Vitali's myth is built on. I'm watching with much amusement as the same fanboys who talk about Vitali's "amazing" KO percentage, not being down etc. dismissing this win because the opponent was no threat. If Tua fough 50 Shane Cameron's, he's have a 100% KO percentage. :yep

General opinion in New Zealand was that Tua would catch up to Shane and KO him in the middle rounds.

Ever seen Shane Cameron fight before? No, you haven't. Well, I have, about five or six times. His skillset is limited, but he is a tough guy. He has been stopped only once, and that was after fighting with a bad cut above his eye for 9 rounds. I have seen him soak up a LOT of punishment and keep fighting with massive cuts and welts. There is nothing wrong with his chin or his heart.

He was never going to be a world champion, but he can take a punch and has a ton of guts. It was a surprise that he got annihilated like that, but ANYONE who takes a flush Tua combo like he did at the end of the first is getting ****ed up. Arreola, Peter, Haye, they wouldn't look any better than Shane Cameron did if Tua landed on them like that.

His chin is not crap. He took a real hiding in a close fight against Friday Ahunaya and lasted until the 12th round, despite not being able to see punches coming for most of the fight because of the blood running into his eyes from a cut he got in the 3rd.

Nobody is saying that Cameron is world class, but he was expected to last a few rounds. And the reason he didn't was because Tua caught him clean. Tua looked sharp, and he was precise with his punches. He was aggressive without being wild, he looked in good shape and if you don't think that a motivated David Tua improves the heavyweight scene then you are a hater plain and simple.

It's worth remembering that Tua only ever got one shot at the title, and that was against a top-3 ATG in his prime, and a stylistic nightmare to boot. If he had as many shots as Golota, Ruiz, Rahman etc, he would have very likely been a champion. He owns knockout victories over FOUR ex or future heavyweight champions, after all. FOUR of the ****ers he beat by KO, and only one title shot. He has only ever been beaten by prime Lennox, Ibeabuchi and prime Byrd. He has shown more power and ability than the likes of Sam Peter ever have.

    :hat

Tua has no shot at beating the Klitschkos. They are both masters of controling range and have excellent reflexes. Do you realize that Tua would be the shortest fighter either brother would heva faced in their pro career? Four inches shorter than Chagaev. Tua also has short arms. The Klitschkos prepare well for each specific opponent and neutralize their best weapons. The current version of Wlad is far more developed than the version who underestimated Sanders. Vitali's jab comes from below, which makes it almost impossible for a short fighter to duck it and Wlad's jab is accurate and fast and would bust up Tua's face. Tua wasn't gunshy against Lewis without reason, he was simply frustrated because he couldn't fight a target and the Klitschkos are as good as Lewis when it comes to contoling range.
