    Certainly used to be the case years ago on the proviso that both fighters made weight (for heavies of course the weight isn't a factor). But the rule's probably been changed these days.

    (That's why when the likes of Joe Louis and other old day world champs used to fight exhibitions for easy paydays, they were always careful not to get KO'ed. If their opponent started to push things a bit too hard the champ would rip into them and either KO them or at lease quietened them down.)

    if the fight is scheduled for 3 minute rds and the defender is KO'd then the title changes hands, ANBF rules

    There's a few other factors being played into it ATM... Yes, Wilson is the new H/W champ... but a few things have to be discussed with the APBF to secure issues.

    Waiting for some extra news before any other mention.......
