It solid but not exactly granite either.

Its good enough to keep Rico Spadafora from making threads about it.

so far his chin has been solid and he also has remarkable recouperating powers especially when he was tagged by marquez' left hook in the second round of their second fight. if you will look at his career, especially post barrera I fight, he hasn't faced a murderous puncher like cotto so the jury is still out. but i've been impressed with his chin so far especially going up in weight.

Pacquiao's chin has looked shaky in the past...early in his career against Torrecampo, Hussein, and some other guy, but nowadays his chin seems to hold up well. JMM caught him with some hellacious shots...remember that laft hook at the end of round two of their second fight? Ouch!

Pac has a good above average chin. His ability to recover quickly is better.
I don't think he's been chin checked up at these weights. Cotto will check him and if Pac takes it well that will be the difference in the fight. Marquez had him rocked several times, but his great ability to recover prevented him from going down. Cotto is way stronger than Marquez and do see Miguel hurting Pac in the fight.

A complete question-mark at Welter, and the gameplan should be to keep it a question-mark by not taking too many shots to the chin.

Thats what im saying if JMM could hurt him aat 130 then do u guys seriously think Cotto wont??
Cotto throws very good punches with power behind tehm He has knocked bigger guys down with a jab. A JAB!!! Clottey and Gomez 2 guys that have solid chins at the higher weights.

If this fight goes over 6 rounds i will be surprised. Im thinkin 9 though since Pac is a good fighter.

I dont think he was buzzed by Hatton, but I agree with your opinion on him and cotto he better be careful but I think Pacquiao has probably at least an average chin at welter, and a pretty good one at light weight. His chin has actually seemed to get better over the years. I remember him being rocked bad by Larios a few years ago.

    At 135+? Who knows.

    Between 122 - 130? Granite.

I would say he has a solid chin. However, he is still not a natural welter, and I think against Cotto his chin is in trouble if Cotto hits it cleanly. But like it has been said before, his recuperative powers are excellent due to his heart and conditioning.

Pacquiao's chin is at least above average. He never would have continued at the top level with the run he has had without that at least. Definitely not granite, however.
