Will do, the styles of those 3 dont leave much room to produce a bad fight it seems + all 3 have huge hearts & love a scrap.

Yup its a little confusing i remember that the Ring named the Pryor-Arguello the best fight of the 80's despite not naming it the fOTY in 82.

I noticed that old **** saying that ****, it was as if he personally didnt want the fight to continue... I thought to myself, `you stupid old ****, Chacon looks in reasonable condition, why do you want this great fight to end with question marks surrounding it because of a little cut ?`

I think its safe to say that if a man goes on to win on points & doesnt die or faint afterwards then it was 1000% right to NOT stop the ****in fight, wtf is wrong with these people ? they must have had big money on Boza - I hope they did have tbh :D

Fraidy Pacheco:scaredas: will forever be known in boxing history as the "Fright Doctor," he is fully aware that he'll always have that label stuck on him, and richly deserves the stigma of that moniker. (In conversations about boxing, I haven't heard anybody refer to him by anything other than that nickname in over a quarter century.)

Great fight. How many times did Dr. Flip give Chacon one more round?

I thought Boza won this clearly.

Chacon was indeed lucky the fight was not stopped.......... I like Chacon, but I thought Chacon was getting hit and cut-up real bad by Boza in '83....... In fact, Boza actually out-punched Chacon throughout the fight, but the fact that Boza had weak legs and kept being dropped (I think 3 X) by Chacon, killed Boza on the cards.....

Dr. Ferdie Pacheco was NOT senile in the 1980s while calling the fights with Marv Albert on NBC............ Ferdie became senile while working for Showtime in the early 1990s... By the mid-90s, Ferdie Pacheco was fully blowing it on the air...... Thank Christ he willingly stepped down...... F.P. has been outta the pocket for 10 yrs now..... Time flies....

    MR.BILL

    P.S.

Anyone remember when Ferdie Pacheco interviewed Riddick Bowe after his 1991 KO over Rodolfo Marin on the undercard of "Tyson-Ruddock 2" on PPV, and Ferdie called Riddick Bowe by the name of "Ruddock Buttock?" That killed me.......

Havent did a round by round score as of yet but as a whole, it looked like a fight were neither man could have complained had the verdict gone against him.

Boza looked to dominate more rds but Chacon won enough himself + as MR.BILL says, scored those 3 KDs... thats just as good on the cards as an extra 3 rds.

The weird thing was, Chacon was all smiles & looked really confident before they announced the verdict, his smile remained almost the same when they said his name.... where as Boza looked a bit down before they announced the winner & even gave a small clap of the hands when Bobby was announced the winner. BOTH men should have been worried awaiting the decision IMO.

The fight game is a bidness........... Chacon and company knew Bobby was hot in 1983 and that he was good for bidness........... Chacon knew that if hung tuff with Boza and finished the fight he'd get the nod from the judges......... I think Chacon was out-pointed, but them knockdowns he scored and his cutman saved his ass............

one of the best fights i've seen is boza-edwards versus john elizondo.
i think every one of boza's head shots landed and while elizondo finished the fight i wouldn't have given much for his long term future
