Grant doesn't care about being champ anymore. Lewis ended that dream. If he wanted to pursue better fights he could; but I don't think he wants to get that chin checked. He's comfortable, and that's actually pathetic if you ask me.

So you are saying that if Mike won say 5 more fights and beat a Monte Barrett say, then got offered the chance of an Eliminator he'd turn it down because of lack of ambition.. I doubt it... I just think he is taking his career a bit too slow , Like Duncan Dokiwari is.. That is often the case of matching Mike being a tough jon, no one wants to jump in there with a 6 ft 5 banger who has no ranking right now.. Its just a fact and its very much not Mikes fault.. We have those problems a lot with Friday, he is hard to get opponents for, these guys start looking too good for thier own good..

It seems he is earning a living boxing, not necessarily pursuing a championship. Let him fight if he wants to, its his life. So what if he is never champion, if he is happy just boxing, if he has the right.

Grant has to step up his competition this year.

For Grant, I think it would be a good idea to imitate Lennox style, having insane lenght as he has.

    Right.

A fighter can merely fight to make good money, with no other goals/aspirations. If he's a pro fighter making good money doing so, and may or may not get very high in the rankings, more power to him.:good

What the hell is taking so long for Grant to line up another fight?

Overall, I like Michael Grant and hope to see him fighting a live body sometime soon! His battle with Golota was memorable -- he was rushed into fighting a dominant Lennox far too quickly. Bad management / training is partly to blame. Also, I thought that he didn't have much of an amateur career either....

I wish him well and would like to see him against a Top 15 guy before it's too late.

I have been thinking the same thing.

I just don't get some of these guys- the heavyweight division needs credible contenders. There is a fortune to be made. And there is no doubt in my mind that Grant could, not neccesarily would, but could, beat Valuev or Haye.

    Come on, Michael!

    Grant should fight Audley Harrison.
