Cotto Pacquaio - WHO WILL SET THE PACE

    Freddie wants Pac to box in and out - absolutely does not want him to exchange.

    How do you see that game plan playing out?

    1. Will this be a very close technical boxing match that goes the distance? Do you think a close score-card or a draw is likely?
    2. Will Cotto cut the ring off effectively and utilize his great timing to force Pac into a brawl?
    3. Or will Pacs speed (body movement not only hand speed) leave Cotto puzzled?

    Or

    - Who gets the KO and in what round if it does not go the distance?

    I see a very strategical 1 - 3 rounds both having their moments and landing good shots. I feel that Cotto will begin to outbox Pac and start to walk him down. I don't think Pac will handle the punches very well and become very uncomfortable come round 6 and the Cotto of old will disect pacman and win by dramatic tko realisticly round 10 or 11. :bbb

    It will be back and forth IMO.

    I can see Pac winning this fight if he goes offensive or defensive, likewise with Cotto. I can also imagine Pac going defensive when Cotto is getting the better of it in some exchanges, but if Pac is getting the better of it will Cotto go back up or allow his pride to not be bullied by a smaller person?

    I think it will go something like Cotto will land 1 punch for every 3 punches Pac lands, and it will be a question of whose body or chin can withstand the other's punches.

    Pacquiao knocks him out in 5 rounds. Pacquiao has too much speed, power, stamina, movement and everything over Cotto. If you think size is everything then you're in for another shock.

    Judah rocked Cotto after landing the FIRST PUNCH. Watch all of Cotto's fights he CAN'T handle punches he doesn't see coming, that's how it has always been, he can sometimes take them but not all of those opponents follow up and he's obviously hurt/stunned in there. Pacquiao specializes in punches you don't see coming and with serious power and stamina.

    Of course anything is possible in boxing, my prediction could be wrong and so on but I'm expecting to see Pac take him out in an epic fight.

    pac will box in the first 6 rounds, he'll wait for cotto to get tired before he finish him..

    pac by stoppage late.

    I see it going this way too, I was just watching Judah v Cotto earlier .... PAC WILL NOT Stand there and take shots like Judah did... BUT, PAC WILL land flush lefts like Judah did.

    To me it just depends on how well Pac handles the power of Cotto.

    If Pacquiao knocks out Cotto, it will probably be from him mangling the Puerto Rican's face, not because he knocked him off his feet. I'm going for Pacquiao, but as far as who I think will win...honestly, I'm waiting for 24-7.

    :lol: hbo's 24/7 is the most misleading pre fight hype documentary there is.

    you'd be better off watching cotto-judah and or cotto at 140..

    Ya Cotto gets rocked by punches he doesnt see coming, but Cotto is a master at surviving early round emergencies like that (granted... its come against judah and torres, not against pac)

    Cotto will get rocked, recoup, and continue to dish it out.... get rocked, recoup, and continue to dish it out, and before he knows it... pac will find himself on the wrong end of the punishment.

    Cottos kryptonite is big strong come forward fighters with great chins, who take everything he dishes out and continues to make him work. Pac is not that, and catching cotto with some punches here and there will def work... but only here and there. Cotto will dominate the boxing, and at times the brawling, and after surviving a few scares, the mauling will show come the 7th, 8th, 9th.... and eather freddy or the ref will have to step in to save pac.

    I expect Pac to box, but, Cotto will do his best to keep up with him. I think Pac will win most of the exchanges, but, Cotto, will have his moments as well, but, not as much as Pacman. Speed kills. And I believe that. I hope I am wrong. But, I feel Pac wins this one convincedly.

    My concern is how Pac takes Cotto's punches. If Pac does ok, we can expect all out action from both fighters.
