In Nottingham, fighting on the back foot, with Froch constantly coming forward looking like athe aggressor and the home crowd roaring every time Froch waves his arms?

    Yes, you might be....

I wouldn't say I think he's going to win. But I do believe that a young, talented boxer like Dirrell who's got virtually nothing to lose can rise to the occasion and outbox the fairly limited Froch. Much stranger things have happened and it wouldn't surprise me a bit.

But Dirrell will have to fight the smartest bout of his career. He'll have to move, punch and conserve his energy. The bottom line is this: everyone knows exactly what Froch is going to do, it's up to Dirrell to have a plan to deal with that an to execute it.

Obviously, far easier said than done.

Dirrell gets hit and clearly has poor balance but his chin isn't as bad as some make it out to be, if so, he recovers quickly.

I think Froch will come out very strong in the first four rounds and knock him down once, maybe twice, but once Dirrell gets acclimated to Froch's style, he'll win all subsequent rounds with ease. I don't think a Dirrell stoppage is probable but anything can happen when your defense is as terrible as Froch's, but again, i wouldn't count on it.

You could be right... I could see Dirrell's speed and skills giving Froch alot of problems for much of the fight.

But I can also see him getting cocky, doing something stupid and getting KTFO late ... after winning 9 or 10 rounds. :D

You guys seem to forget that Froch wont only being throwing punches but he will be getting hit cleanly and very very often and eventually the wear and tear will tell

Dirrell Inside 5 Rounds, after that its a toss up due to Froch being in his hometown so decisions can get a bit controversial if it goes the distance

Dirrell to stop Froch TKO 5, Mercy Stoppage on part of the referee.

This will be Dirrell's coming out party and all of you Froch Nuthuggers will jump ship

Froch vs Dirrell = Joe Bugner vs Muhammad Ali 1

Froch will be outboxed simple as that, Froch has power but it wont figure in this fight, have you not heard of clinching. Dirrell will elect to hold when Froch tries to get off on the inside then Dirrell will counter him silly.

Froch is thoroughly going to be embarressed in this fight.

Im with this brother but I will even go as far as to say Dirrell will stop Froch inside 5 rounds, that chin is there for the taking, can you imagine if Dirrell stuns Froch in the same way Taylor did with that counter right and then Froch fell onto the ropes and was on the backfoot and then POW he got dropped.

When Froch gets up from that Dirrell will finish him but if he goes wild and Froch makes it out of the round then Dirrell needs to be very careful to not burn himself out as that would spell disaster for him but I think Dirrell knows just how to handle a fighter like Froch. I think in my honest opinion, Froch is tailor made for Dirrell and Froch is going to be made to look like a British Level Fighter. That is how bad it is going to be.

Dirrel runs around, looks great, outworks and outjabs Froch before he gets tired, slows down around 5-6 and either looses a UD or gets KTFO.

Once again you know Sarah is right. Do not deny these facts for I will just bump this thread come the 18th.

Dirrell's speed is unreal but with that being said speed and a good jab is all he has and in Super Middleweight you'll need more than a good jab and speed to beat Froch Abraham JT and Kessler plus his chin is a little suspect

Dirrell´s got impressive handspeed and great movement in the ring, but he doesnt have very much power. He tries to show off a bit too much..he makes 28-30 shot in a row and after he runs around in the ring cause its obvious he got tired...and all the shots are incredibly weak..you can see it in the fight against Oganov...very unwise. It looks more like slapping than hitting... defo the weakest boxer in the Super Six. He might do ok in the first 4 rounds, but then i think Froch will take charge of the ring.
I just can´t see him lasting 12 rounds against Froch...you can run but you can´t hide.
