Jose Suliaman has decided to cancel the purse bid and is considering allowing Berto to fight Mosley without being stripped. Apparently, it came to his attention that no network is interested in a Berto-Collazo rematch. With no network, and as a result no date and no money for the fight, Sulaiman and hic WBC buddies may decide to let Berto fight a unifcation bout with Mosley instead of defending against Collazo.

Collazo is definitely one of those fighters with the shittiest luck out there.

I bet Collazo and Aydin will fight for the interim title.

Oh, and this has absolutely nothing do with Sulaiman eyeing a nice fat sanctioning fee for a potential Mayweather vs Mosley bout next year

Give Collazzo a f**king fight already, the 1st fight was great. Just goes to show, boxing is all about the "name", no wonder fighters try so hard to protect their "0"

This would be the right thing to do. Maybe they will make up a new belt for them to fight for. The Emerald belt?

I personally thought Collazzo won the first fight and was shocked by the decision. Somebody needs to give him a shot

HBO shouldve bought the Berto/Collazo rematch instead of trying to make the Diaz/Paul rematch.

I think it has everything to do with the fact that none of the networks want to televise the fight. I think the WBC is doing the right thing, why strip Berto for trying to unify? Why make him fight someone that that he already beat, when both fighters would have to fight for peanuts?

Collazo has had 3 high profile fights and has lost all of them. How many breaks does he need?

Would you rather see Berto vs. Mosley or Berto vs. Collazo II?

I see your point, I really do.

But - the point remains that Collazo deserves his rematch, before Berto starts eyeing a nice payday.

Versus might have bought it, or whoever.

The WBC should show some principles here, rather than acting in their financial interests.
