I say taking punishment all day may be "heart" in your eyes, in mine, it just means you're taking punishment all day.

Heart for me is the ability to adapt and adjust in a fight after taking an early beating to find a way to come back and win.

Gatti. The man has took more punishment than any modern day fighter. Fought on and tried way past his best weight and prime.

It takes a lot of heart to take a beating when you know there's nothing you can do, but you still come forward and still make some sort of an effort to win a fight.

It doesn't take heart to be punished all day long and not find a way to win. It's not even a skill thing - Corrales was not more skilled than JLC. He still found the way to win after absorbing shots.

The fact that he retired on his stool a few times, too? Can't see Corrales ever doing that, considering how angry he got when his crew did it to him.

Gatti got off the canvas to win against Rodriguez and Ruelas too who was was a better fighter than Gatti so he adapted the same as Corrales a few times lets be honest Corrales didn't change his gameplan he came back after being floored twice landed a bomb and finished him Gatti has done that as well. Retired on his stool one time and that was Buddy McGirt who called it off not Gatti, no matter what Gatti always tried to win he never gave up or quit he fought on with broken fist, eyes swelled shut, terrible cuts, was in what 5 fight of the years or something that's heart if you ask me.
