With the "time lost", like your knickname says, being out of the ring so long, he'd be at a huge disadvantage and a victory would prove nothing as to who was better in their prime. It's old now...Lewis is retired and content while Vitali still has a few more fights left before he's done(I'd guess about three). Unfortunately for fans, either Klitschko's prospective opponents are either at big size disadvantages or skill/conditioning/athleticism disadvantages if they do have any size to match up
thats stupid when vitali fought him he was only a shell of himself.. that wouldn't prove nothing.. lewis would have destroyed vitali in his prime
Why would someone want to see Vitali fight a gray-haired Lewis who hasn't fought in over 6 years? Do people that desperately want to see Vitali beat Lewis? What would it mean at all, other than big dollars and personal redemption for Klitschko? There's much more meaningful fights out there with ACTIVE heavyweights.
"When you throw a punch...when an exchange is going on you may catch your opponent. That's what they mean when you have a puncher's chance." -Lennox Lewis (quote might not be exact, but it's something along those lines) broadcast of the Mayweather-Judah fight. Yes I believe in a puncher's chance there are tons and tons of examples.
Why the hell do people say Moorer's jaw is glass when he got Koed by Foreman and freakin DAVID TUA!? atsch No he didn't have the best beard but the guys who iced him are some of the hardest punchers the sport has known! They made just about everyone they hit flush look like glass. That's what you call a puncher. That's like saying Larry Holmes had a glass jaw for being dropped by Ernie Shavers and Koed by Mike Tyson :nut
I believe in the punchers chance it's proved itself throughout history but when the fighter only has a punchers chance 99% chance he's gonna lose.
The Foreman punch was more of an arm punch without much body put into it it was also fairly extended (shorter punches are more devastating) im just saying that if Moorer had a good beard he wouldnt go down so smoothly.
Not normally... when someone says a fighter has a 'puncher's chance' that usually means they got no chance.
Moorer didn't have a great beard I won't argue that I will argue with your other points. All of Foremans knockouts are arm punches he hit that hard thats why many believe he would of been the hardest puncher ever if he put his body weight into them. Shorter puches are more devastating depending on body type for short stocky fighers like Tyson, Frazier, Marcaino, Tua etc. yes for long langy ones hitting on the end of their punches is more powerful like Arguello, Little Red, Lewis, Hearns and such. Moorer didnt have a great beard but he didn't have a bad one either certainly not glass.
