FROCH: wat Dirrell is up against.

Has Pascal got a granite chin or does Froch punch like a girl??

 

80% KO ratio. Yeah, he punches like a girl :-( Dirrell's is about 70% and he hasn't been in with anyone yet. Pascal is now absorbing LHW punches from monsters like Diaconu, so out of the two options, i'd say Pascals chin is fairly reliable.

 

What do you think? Look at the face of Taylor when he is getting wacked by Froch. Look at his 80% KO ratio. Pascal was taking Diaconu's punches quite well earlier this year (He was KD) and that was moving up in weight to a very powerful Light Heavyweight. I think Froch hits pretty hard and Pascal has a pretty good chin.

 

This about sums it up. That said, I think Dirrell probably has a higher peak than Froch, in terms of skills/abilities, but it might just be too early for him. He is biting off a lot more than most could chew at this point in his career.

You could also add very fit and hungry and great chin. He will hunt down his man all night till he catches him. Dirrel better be prepared to play a hit and run game and even that won't work I think. Froch is also good at cutting off the ring. A lot more to his game than you think. He has weaknesses don't get me wrong but you don't become a world champion and beat guys liike pascal and taylor just by being big and powerful.

 

The judges were against Froch. Taylor is much better fighter than Dirrel.

 

Excellent post! I've been saying the same thing about the scoring of the Taylor fight, I had it 7-4 to Taylor going into the 12th, so if Taylor had miraculously made it to the bell I'd have had him winning the fight 114-113 (taking the KD into consideration) - hardly the supposed schooling all these idiots harp on about.

 

I had Froch winning, close though.

 

Both fighters have big mouths = I don't care who wins. Froch is more annoying cause he doesn't just talk himself up and talk down the other fighter (which most loud mouths do) but he has to offer his arsehole's opinion about every ****ing thing.
He's a bit funnier than Dirrel though, so they are kind of even on the 'annoying twat' factor.

If Dirrel is smart enough he can box his way to a victory. But the kind of smarts he needs may only come with enough experience. I figure he may be too green to know how to handle a talentless beast like Froch.
This fight is Dirrel's to win, not Frochs to lose. We know what Froch will do. We don't know how Dirrel will cope.

Dirrells going into the unknown ... u Yanks dont realise what a noise 10000 nottingham lads can make on a boozy saturday evening and thats a huge advantage ! .... Dirrell will get drawn into a war and Froch will KO the guy before the end of the 5th ....

The atmosphere will be hostile in there and never mind Dirrell moving several levels up in class has he got the temperament for the occasion ? .... and has he got the chin to withstand the stamina sapping punches ? .. the way he went down against Hanshaw well i doubt that very much ....

Can only see one winner and thats the Cobra all the way ....

 

Froch is relentless, nevertheless his punches doesn't seem to have the same pop as those of Abraham.
