    admitted my choice of words was wrong, I still believe he's one of the most talented fighters around today, just lacks stamina and does take to many shots in the later rounds(due to his stamina).

    I always thought of Taylor as an great athlete but just a good boxer.

    Of course Froch's aggression and punches are what ended it and got Jermain Taylor tired/kocked out, I don't see anyone saying otherwise.

    Just like Pavlik's power, aggression and ability to take a punch won him the fight the same won Froch the fight and both weren't expected to win.

    What Jermain had wasn't good enough to beat those guys which means those guys are better fighters than him, it hurts but that's how it is. Aggression and punch resistance can overcome and overpower skill.

    Everyone knows Jones is more skilled that Tarver overrall yet Tarver's power proved to be too much, same thing for Johnson. If Lacy beat Calzaghe that doesn't mean Lacy is more skilled, it means his aggression broke down Calzaghe's skill and natural gifts making Lacy the better fighter.

    Taylor's not even a GREAT athlete, just a good one. Great athletic fighters are Roy, Floyd, Mosley, or Pacman.

    I'll put money on it you don't know the brand and engine size of that bike. :good

    P.S. I prefer my bikes loaded with low down grunt (torque) but that bike will do 160+ MPH @ redline.

    P.P.S. Good post Socrates. Note how some people *still* say Tylor dominated that fight though? Parrots. :-(

    this is a very good post regarding froch,compliments of 'p.falk':

    "You're overstating the claim that Froch was getting outboxed by Taylor.
    Very few rounds were blow outs.
    I hear it so often that "Taylor was winning every round until he was KOd in the 12th".

    That's utter bull****.
    Rounds that Taylor won were not dominating rounds with one guy (Taylor) exposing the other (Froch). I think you could have given Froch the 4th. And starting with and including the 6th Froch started to win rounds.
    This whole, "Taylor was outboxing him for 11 rounds" is either a lie or a parrotting of someone else's lie.

    Even after the fight Froch commented on his starting slow. He reference his first fight in the States against Henry Porras where Froch started too fast and almost exhausted himself - partly due to the anxiety of having his first Stateside fight. He stated that he was trying to pace himself more so with the Taylor fight.

    But that's all irrelevant.... Froch won the fight. Plain and simple.
    This has got to be the only fight I can think of where so many try to invalidate the clear victor. "Taylor punched himself out"... really? How? His punch out put on a round to round basis wasn't that high. "Taylor usually gets winded late." Really? Are you sure that's not just based off of other excuses to invalidate Pavlik's KO over Taylor? Because it sounds that way. Considering the fact that Taylor hasn't been known to punch himself to sheer exhaustion to the point of just collapsing in the 12th and final round. As if Froch's lead rights on Taylors head from rounds 1-11 played NO part whatsoever.
    Tails Taylor wins, Heads Froch loses. Way to set up an impossible victory for the guy who actually won the fight"

    Its not an excuse its how Froch won, Froch simply wasnt that impressive against Taylor. Froch was getting completely schooled for the first 7 rounds plain and simple. Then Taylor fades, and if you've watched Taylors career hes always gassed and faded late, seriously watch the Hopkins fights, its not an excuse its a weakness hes always had. Taylor building up a big points lead had nothing to do with Froch starting slow and everything to do with him getting outsped and having his defense exposed. Credit to him for biting on the bullet and pulling out a late KO, most don't have the balls to do it. However if Taylor wasnt the type of fighter who gassed and could fight inside Froch would have his first loss on his record right now

    Good good win for Froch but the blueprint has been set
