Guzman by clear UD too fast and too slick.

    +1

Guzman comes out firing early too which usually overwhelms his opponents. He moves too much for Izzy to even hit the target with considerable accuracy.

Guzman has yet to beat an opponenet on the level of an Izzy V..... so until then I say Vazquez UD.

izzy isn't a slow stiff that guzman could just totally shine off of with pure speed. izzy woulda out worked joan for a UD & made him fight.

Vasquez would always be in there but Guzman would win a Soto-esque decision.

What like the bigger and more skilled Soto did??????????

I personally feel Vasquez is a better fighter than Soto but Soto keeps his hands high and is good at mid-range or inside. Guzman looks better at film on 122lbs which evens this up IMO.

No one is saying Izzy is a stiff. But it would take a real athletic multi-faceted figther (Wilfredo Gomez) or invulnerable buzzsaw (Fenech) at the weight to beat Guzman decisively IMO, or someone with physical advantages (Morales)

Guzman was slick, quick, and his power meant more at this weight. Not a big puncher by any means and his resume is patchy across allw eights (I personally think he's a waste of talent) but when talking about hypothetical matchups you must take both men on their best nights and take their styles into account.

    Guzman UD Vasquez
