And showed tremendous heart i dont think he was "ruined" By Margarito and i think Pacquiao would be a fool to underestimate him.
cotto to beat pacman acany believe cotto dusnt get the credit never ducked anyone including margarito even tho hes about 4 inchs taller and shouldnt really even be at welterweight a think cotto will be stronger than ever against pacman a defeat can give u a kick up the arse sometimes and think cotto is back
styles makes fights and i believe fighters like margarito and etc, cotto struggles esp. with tall pressure types of guys. pacman should be easier to defeat although will be difficult cotto on points!!!
Yeah, even though it was a flip-a-coin decision and one could certainly argue that Clottey should have gotten the nod, i thought Cotto showed a lot in that fight and to suggest that Cotto is 'ruined' or 'shot' just because he had trouble with Clottey is prepostorous to me. It reminds me of when Mosley had just lost twice in a row to a very similar fighter in Winky and everybody thought he was finished. Here he is 5 years later among the p4p top-5. Cotto won a razor-thin verdict in a high-level fight against a top-notch opponent and he is still among the very best in the sport, end of story. With that said though, i have to admit i'm leaning towards Pacquiao to win next month, but because of styles more than anything else.
I wouldn't say good. But I can't really see any welter looking good against Clottey. He's a very good smart fighter capable of taking the best and pushing them to the brink. I didn't think he was gonna look good against Clottey and felt it would pretty much be a tossup fight. I would of felt the same way before or after the Marg fight. Clottey is a big strong guy, never shown any signs of being chinny, strong defense, fast and a good thinker.
he fought basically the whole fight, the blood pouring into his eye, vs a tough big/strong top 5 Welter in the world....
