he also says ''20 years ago id have been a superstar'' ....um no carl 20 years ago you'd have been a gatekeeper with 5/6 ko losses on your record you ****ing mug.
He says if he could fight Hagler, he would do a bit Leonard, a bit Hearns. But both Leonard and Hearns were outboxed by Hagler! Froch obviously hasn't even seen those fights.
Well if he was fighting 20 years ago he'd be fighting Spinks and Qawi for LHW titles, without much success
I wouldnt wipe my arse on that newspaper, but yes Froch is delusional (and Im a fan) but it wont be a bad thing if he manages to stay unbeaten in this tourn. What I find hilarious though, are the people who are saying Froch got owned off JT only for Jermaine to gas as he always does and yet still claim JT can win this tourn
Pretty much every interview he does is tongue in cheek. Unless you can actually see him on the screen you cannot properly judge, IMHO. Great for British boxing though, a guy who will fight anyone, anywhere.
One thing to think about is that Eubank was not the same at 168 and NEVER liked it to the body. Frochy has a good chin and is a decent body puncher, I think he's competitive with all these guys. Benn was much better at 168 in comparison and I think he'd do well against Froch. Frochy loves to self-hype, fair play to him for getting this far, it was only last December he was an absolute nobody struggling against another absolute nobody in Jean Pascal. He's gone on to baet Taylor, Pascal has gone on to be very popular and win the WBC LHW title. All together; 'what a difference, a YEAR makes' :rofl
:happy:good Someone got there before me, was about to say that, had a quick flick up the page and luckily spotted you'd already done it:good Frochy is apparently quite close to 168 anyway, despite his size. I honestly think he'd be stopped by all the Light-Heavys around that era, Yaqui Lopez, Eddie Mustafa, Saad Muhammad, Qawi, later Spinks. The one he may have a chance against is Marvin Johnson, who was very dangerous but also vulnerable. Still, is it just me or is Frochy not that big a puncher? I'm a fan but he seems heavy handed but not a devastating puncher. For my eyes the order is 1. Abraham 2. Kessler 3. Froch 4. Taylor 5. Ward 6. Dirrell in terms of punching power. I guess we will see if he can stop quality opposition in the coming fights, gonna be very hard for him to stop kessler and Abraham, Dirrell I think will go down on Saturday, but he wasn't able to budge Pascal and as a lot of people say, Taylor 'gassed'. Out of 10 for power I'd give Froch a 7. What do others think?
