Was JuanMa is the toughtest fight of his career? and

He's certainly never been pushed this far. But here's the thing, this fight doesn't really diminish his chances against Cabellero or Gamboa for me, because I think his stamina issues and flawed game plan prove true the rumour about an unfocused training camp. Also, the guy was coming off his fourth straight title defense KO and hailed as th next best thing, so he was bound to be a bit cocky up against a guy so obviously vulnerable.

Juanma put out the worst performance of his career, while Mtagwa clearly put out his best. I've seen the guy fight before, and I know he's tough, but he couldn't replicate that performance ever again. He fought beyond he's means, helped by a bunch of headbutts and a bad game plan by his opponent.

i.e. Iif Juanma had come out fighting like he had against Deleon, Rios, or Penalosa, I think he would have won a lot more impressively. Its based on those wins that I would still favor him against Gamboa, and I still think he's even money with Cabellero.

 

I see the Gamboa fight going one of two ways: JuanMa sparks Gamboa within 2-3 rounds, or Gamboa sparks JuanMa between rounds 4 or 5.

 

Juanma isnt a techinical boxer as HBO people and many more try no make of him, hes pretty one-dimensional and he has a poor defense, with that said i hope he gets better as for now he losses to both Gamboa & cabellero right now, IMO

 

Rogers freaking Mtagwa. Wow.

That is one tough mofo. He's absorbed probably two or three career ending type beatdowns, and he comes out of nowhere to take JuanMa to the gates of hell. Color me impressed.

 

Cabellero is not the big bad wolf. I've seen him fight a few times and I'm not impressed at all. He seems to be a fighter three divisions lower than he should be. Juan Ma truly had a big test and passed it. I doubt if he goes into another fight relying on more brawn than brains. I think he looks at film of the fight and make the necessary adjustments.

its going 2 be a hell of a fight, juanma must box not brawl, gamboa is probably the better of the 2 but has been down be4. giid fight!!!!!!!

 

juanma will destroy caballero its the gamboa that worries me.

 

JuanMa learned a lot from this fight, hopefully he can use this experience in future fights, He can beat Caballero with ease,and Gamboa looked better than JuanMa last night but I dont think Gamboa can stand some power shots from JuanMa in that suspect chin of his.

Last night I was thinking the same but then I remember past Gamboa fights that went down with not very stong punches, JuanMa got dynamite in those fists, I dont see Gamboa sustaining that kind of power

 

Lopez was never anything special too me all that P4P top 10 talk was ridiculous. Even against Penalosa I saw a guy that was somewhat one-dimensional. He's a good fighter but not great.

 

Gamboa was never hurt in those knockdowns as it was mainly his poor balance at fault. Only once he went went down by a strong blow, an elbow!! and he wasn't hurt at all.
