Personally I'm very excited about Korobov. When I saw him on the Pac/Hatton undercard he absolutley did not look like a green kid with 5 fights.

Landra and Jacobs don't really thrill me, but ya never know. We'll have to wait and see.

I think for one to say they are not amazed at the potential of Gamboa should damn well be against the law.

Agreed, Lara needs it at mid-range to get anything going, I think any pressure fighter with a good chin will give him fits.

Agreed, but if you've noticed he tends to stand still and cover up every now and then, and actually dont look too bad on the inside tbh. I think a real banger with a good hook to the body could cause him troubles though.

The four recent ones who made an immediate great impression on me were Marvin Sonsona, Juan Manuel Lopez, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Daniel Jacobs. Three of them already have belts, and the fourth should soon.

Korobov looks good, but I'm surprised so many people are so high on him. He has great power, but his speed is pretty average, his workrate is on the low side and his fighting seems predictable. I see where he could be a really good fighter, but there isn't anything about him that stands out enough for me to make me think he has superstar potential. I'd rather take someone with more stylistic flaws but more plus-plus tools. Stylistic flaws can be fixed, but you can't make someone quicker.

Timothy Bradley on SHObox. And as of late, he is vindicating the feelings I had watching him way back when.

i was amazed when i first saw gamboa fight rojas i belive it was. And Korobov in he's latest fight, Its clear that these guys have had a long amateure career. Gamboa is aggressive and can get a little carried away but is always in controll. Korobov just dont do anything wrong it seems

Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Korobov is a ****ing beast. As soon as I saw this thread he was the first person I thought of. When I saw him destroy Bartinelli on the Hatton-Pacquiao undercard I was truly blown away. This kid has what it takes.

Ronny Rios on the undercard of the Vazquez fight reminded me a lot of a young De La Hoya. Just saying :yep

    Definitely, Gamboa and Cotto.
