When was the last time you were truely amazed by a prospect

i thought victor ortiz had a real legitmate shot and he still does...and thats only if he is mentally healed from them bombs maidana landed...but he could box and thats why i think he will be one to look out for again

 

also james kirkland had me intrigued after he destroyed the last cat he fought...too bad he slipped up

Gotta agree with alot of the posters here..Matt Korobov is an exciting one to watch.
He is like a snake in the ring...he waits for his chance to come and strikes with precision))
His defense is great also.

Paul Williams was the real last one though.

 

I was one of the many that bought into Bojado. I remember him and Cotto came up at abou the same time and were both at 140. I was certain they would meet as undefeated titlists for a unification bout and possibly one of the best Mexico vs PR fights of all time.

I also bought into the Lacy hype.

My last one was Awesome Aaron Williams....He had been lookin' ****in' bad ass in there. Seemed to have everything from movement and defense to SCARY power.

Then he got KTFO on FNF's and I haven't heard **** about him since.

 

I thought he looked AWFUL. Keep in mind that his opponent was 1-2-1, and had already been demolished by Ricky Lopez and Gary Russell Jr.

 

I like Gamboa too, unfortuately though I'm not quite convinced he can take a punch as I've seen him hurt 2-3 times/ He seems a little too willing to trade and leaves himself open too much, but he's definately a speed merchant, has great skills and technique.

 

I remember being VERY impressed with Denis Boystov's early fights. He's still impressive although I thought he was better when he was 15 lbs lighter.

 

Another vote for Gamboa. Jermain Taylor fought on the Jones-Tarver I undercard, and his style blew me away then two.

The first time I saw Sharif Bogere was pretty amazing, though less so because of his prospects as a boxing prospect...or at least only partially because of them. :yep
