Suerland said he would give Jermain Taylor a 50 50 split on both his fight (of course if he wins )against Double A and a fight with Kessler But this also meant that Jt woudl be the one traveling not the other 2 .. I think that was a very generous offer from Kessler's promoter Is that what the split is right now for Taylor and does anyone know ? What are the chances we get more and more actions like this from any of the American promoters ? I know Shaw would never offer that but whatr about Goosen or Dibella ?
I was pretty shocked, when he offered 50 - 50 Doesn't make a lot of sense imo. Lou Dibella was pretty happy with it, though . Goosen is very tough to deal with. Ward is not ranked pretty high (at least right now), but Goosen acted as if he was the biggest name in the whole tourney.
i know he is a long shot but Jermain is great for the sport if you ask me...He takes on the big challenges (HE EARNED THOSE 2 FIGHTS WITH OUMA AND SPINKS TO HAVE A COUPLE EASY 1'S) and now he's going over to Europe to fight AA and than IMO THE BEST 168LB FIGHTER IN KESSLER...I hope JT takes em but he is the long shot if not Dirrell! I also think Jermain willing to go to Europe made this tournie easier to make using another American Fighter..The best thing is all these fighters might face each other in this tournie..I THINK THIS IS GREAT FOR THE SPORT!
From an enetrtaiment standpoint JT comes to bring it ..So a fight with Kessler or Abrham is sure to have fire works ..Plus its gets him huge exposure over seas a win win but I love it because JT has nothing to lose from this point ~!
They needed Jermain. He is the most recognizable name in the tourney. Without Jermain casual fans would look at it, scratch their heads, and wonder why Showtime was airing some prospect against an unknown German.
