Which is a bigger fight? Lopez vs Gamboa? or Lopez vs Caballero at 126 pounds?

From a 'name' and action standpoint, Lopez-Gamboa is bigger, but of the three, Celestino is BY FAR the most accomplished fighter, having beat Ponce de Leon (first), Sithchatchawal and then Molitor in unification, so if anyone 'deserves' a payday and big fights, it's Caballero. Lopez would either fight for Gamboa's paper title or pick up Luevano's in January and Gamboa would challenger that. But at 122, Celestino and JuanMa could unify the WBA, IBF and WBO titles for divisions world championship.

Anyone who thinks Caballero is a walk in the park for Lopez is a complete moron. He had some medicre performances (well, JuanMa just joined the club), but on the highest stage, he blasted out two very good champions and schooled a future champ.

The plan was always a big fight in January then JuanMa-Gamboa in June, so both fights can be made, and I'd rather wait more for the Gamboa fight to have Caballero than watch a mediocre Lopez-Luevano, Gamboa-Concepcion card.

Bring on Caballero!

 

Gamboa is the bigger fight but he needs to fight Cabellero first.
