If you study the Benn I and Watson I fights, Eubank uses the ring so well to change angles of attack. And the way he attacks from angles, going in low to make himself a small target, is impressive. He's also extremely untelegraphed in these fights.

He holds his own with Roy Jones in a chess match. He wouldn't stand in front of McCallum like Watson did.

A Eubank-Toney fight would 100% depend on whether Toney could read Eubank's jab to avoid and counter, because otherwise he'd grinded down. Eubank had a TERRIFIC stiff jab.

Nunn beats Eubank. You see Chris struggling to reach southpaws Stretch, Schommer and Calzaghe (Rocchigiani just stood in front of him), and Nunn was super-mobile and real elusive (and supremely slick to boot).

I think Nunn beats Eubank very clearly.

essexboy, Eubank did what he did. Get over it.

I don't think he really cared for historical ranking. His goal was money and he made the most at the time.

There won't be another one quite like him, that's for sure.

Eubank was seriously good. Fighting Benn with his hands low and a 205lbs ripped Thompson with his hands low and having the success he did is enough to say and show how serious an operator he was. Wharton, too. And Watson.

    Come on.

In terms of ability - not overrated.

In terms of accomplishments - either rated fairly or slightly overrated depending on who you speak to.

My mums a slag she would have handed herself over no problem, no raping involved. It would be nice to hear if you have an actual 'opinion' though, you know related to boxing.

I am over it, its not like I have a vendetta against Eubank. But if his goal was money rather than respect then he'll receive less respect from me than he should have.

I cannot criticise Eubank at all, as he was under rated in terms of what he could of achieved. Roy Jones was most worried about him of all of the British boxers at the time.

Eubank was the technician with a great chin, if he had started later and fought later he would have had better achievements.

Its a shame it ended the way it did, but I will always look back on his career with great excitement. He made the golden era for British boxing on terrestrial TV and is one of the main reasons I love the sport today.

Halo to the Legend and remember what you did for British boxing was great.

Chris Eubank tresended british boxing, he was a great fighter..and he was a man of pure greatness.

Great fighters, give their best performances when the time is right...!

And Chris Eubank did just that, nothing will ever top his won over Nigel Benn. It is the biggest fight ever to be stage in the UK, over 15-20 Million people watched that event live..! Everyone had a opinion on the street.! Boxing mattered, to the people..!

The event and the share magnitude of the occassion, thats when IT REALLY MATTERS..! and thats when great athletes find a way how to win..!

Allot of fighters and athletes win, but its HOW YOU WIN..WHAT PEOPLE REMEMBER.

Chris Eubank was a warrior and people will forever remember him...

Alot of you really seem to love Eubank. Fair enough, I've gauged your opinions and disagree. I've given my points so I'll leave it there. I feel his achievements were rather poor. Some of you make a good case for Eubank others are just plain rude fanboys who know little about boxing and cant tell the difference between a question and a statement, I wish these people would stick to Youtube. Anyway thanks for the opinions. :good

I was referring to the worldwide stage. It was probably the biggest domestic fight in my lifetime but he failed to build on it.

There was much more cry for Benn-Eubank II, Eubank-Watson II than there was for Eubank-Nunn.

Eubank was as good or as bad as he wanted to be on any given night, at his best he gives anyone kittens, at his worst he was beatable, great chin, good jab, seriously under rated power, and an entertainer... he would be a total megastar today.

No, at his best he'll give aggressive front-foot fighters who don't throw too many punches kittens.
