Rooney, if you're gonna diss Cotto, then I pose to you not the question of just what constitutes a good boxer, but who in the current day would qualify?

Cotto is top drawer, even by the most haterrific of standards.

if ur cotto and manny pacquiao offers u the biggest payday of ur life and u said no cause ur gona give a rematch to clottey UR A STUPID! margacheato dont hace a licenced... win vacated belts but defended w the best wws in the world... can lose 2 fights but hes still a top 10 p4p in the ring magazine,espn,ect.ect.ect. low blows are tactics in the sports hopkins use his head,pbf use his elbows, ect,ect, u have to do whatever it takes its not only 4 the money, ur fighting in an elite level that in the worst case u can lose ur life...

Cotto has only been down once and that was at 140 where, not to make excuses, but it was pretty well known that Cotto was draining himself to make that weight.

and please, remember the resume at 147. idc if they were close or not, if he got the W he got the W.

Mosley (not much to say, the man is a HOF. came in blasting Cotto with his hardest shots and Cotto didnt flinch.)

Clottey (had Margarito beat until his hand broke. Cut Cotto early and yet Cotto still fought through and got the win)

Zab Judah (the only man to knock Mayweather down. former UNDISPUTED Welterweight champion of the world.)

Quintana (undefeated before he fought cotto. Cotto moved up in weight to fight him, many though he would out box Cotto as he did another rising star in Joel Julio. Cotto knocked him out)

Those are just to name a few...

please, have your opinions on the fight but in the end just ADMIT its a toss em up fight. Anyone can win. They are both just as good as eachother and thank both of them for agreeing to fight eachother for the benefit of us. stop trying to belittle Cotto. He is a great great fighter.

Very good post. Cotto is very versatile, can box, bang and brawl, knows what to do when hurt and despite what a lot of people may think he has a good chin.

Your a hate poster. The majority of people had Cotto beating Clottey so go **** yourself with that :good.

You choose to slag off a guy who has fought all the top welterweight contenders and would be the WBO and IBF champ right now if he cared for title belts anymore.

Continually low blows? I didnt see any low blows in the Mosley, Margarito or Clottey fights, but hey lets take one fight and blow it out of proportion!

You make it sound as if Pac has some amazing defensive abilities. I think his defense is worse than Cotto's.
