......................................................................................................................................................................... Is Pacquiao. See not only is many is picking Pacquiao in which Pacquiao is the favorite to win, even Bob Arum who promotes both Pacquiao and Pacquiao is picking Pacquiao. It's obvious considering Arum keeps talking about possibly of Mayweather vs Pacquiao in 2010. So i guess to some biased Pacquiao fans, Pacquiao will not shock the world again.
why are you obsessed if pac would shock the world or not? if either pac or cotto would pull this one, this would be a big win for either one so please just stop your bull**** propaganda. :good
Arum is being a business man....he will pick pacquiao because manny is the favorite....manny will make him more money at this point as well....however, it really doesnt matter because if cotto wins he still has miguel in his stable.....BUT Miguel's contract is up at the end of the year, if cotto were to win, and then signs with gbp or decides to self-promote like mayweather does, arum would be left high and dry....cotto is gone from top rank and he is stuck with manny coming off a loss...
Cotto contract is not up to the end of the year. Where have you been Jeff? Cotto resign with Arum in which it will not be in the end of the year. Pacquiao might fight 1 more time after the Cotto fight and then retired.
I think Arum is neutral on this one... Yes PAC is Arum's biggest cash cow along with Cotto and Pavlik but PAC only has 2 or 3 fights left (including the Cotto fight) before PAC retires from boxing to pursue political office in the Philippines... Cotto tho not as big as PAC yet has lots of fights left and has a contract with Arum until 2011... Arum is neutral... Either way is a big win for him... .
off-topic: @rayhogan, you have something to answer in the Caballero-JuanMa thread... link --> http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=176058&page=2
Cotto did sign an extension of 2 years of his contract with Arum, I believe it was one of the key points in making this fight happen. About "shocking the world" comment, one can only shock people by doing something that almost everyone does not expect you to do or achieve. I think by now a lot of people pick Pacman as the favorite to win this fight. With that said, it is safe to say that if Pacman wins, it is to be expected by a majority. If not, then all those people shouldn't be saying "I got Pac by KO! Cotto is too slow!". But if he loses, it is Cotto who may shock the world proving that Pac isn't an invincible machine as some may lead you to believe. But contrary to blind fanboyism, Pacquiao is a human being like any other boxer and can lose. We'll have to wait until Nov. 14th for the outcome. Oh the wait...
