ABC rankings are a joke, but this does make a Tua/Wlad fight that much closer. Too bad he already has decent fights lined up with Chambers/Povetkin.

I don't tip Tua to win, but it would be more interesting than alot of fights out there. It also makes a Tua/Toney eliminator a possiblity.

    good night Wlad!

That is a fact, IF, then it would be all over for Wlad.

I don't think so guys. Wlad has been nailed by some serious power shots and has never been knocked out. Knocked down yes, but not out. I don't think Tua can deliver a strong enough blow to KO Wladimir. For that matter, I don't think anyone can knock him out. Down yes, but not out.

He'll never land the type of shot he needs to land on Wlad to get the KO. Quite simple.

the simple answer is WHO KNOWS!?

But what i will say..Whenever a fighter pressurises Wlad he goes into jelly mode and panicks! hence the grabbing against peter..so if tua can pressurise him with heavy shots to the body, get him panicking.WHO KNOWS!?

doubt this fight will happen though.

I know they can beat anyone throughout history, whether or not they would on the night is another issue, but they have the skillset and abilities to do it.

As for Tua - go review any fight where the other guy is taller than him. He generally gets beaten up until the later rounds, unlike guys like Rahman or Maskaev, the Klitshcko's don't tire quite so badly.

point proven, no use debating with a klitschko fan that thinks these guys are 100% unbeatable, despite both of them losing.

but ignoring any further ignorant posts from puglisticpower, i would give each fighter a 50/50 chance. IF wlad can fight a PERFECT and i mean PERFECT match by jabbing tua and keeping him at bay for a full 12 rounds, then i would give it to wlad. but if tua could get passed wlads jab, bang away at his mid-section and follow through with shots to the head, then the fight would be over right then and their. a sigle shot that tua would land on wlad would change wlads entire demeanor. it would either have him hurt badly, or it would have him on his bicycle the remainder of the fight. tua doesn't get discouraged or frustrated, hence his late round KO's when he was trailing behind on all scorecards.

I think David will be more interested in the WBA route; it holds more water and it'll probably be an easier route for him.

That does however depend on one thing: the outcome of Haye vs. Valuev. If Haye beats Valuev and picks up the WBA title, then Tua is probably only 2 fights away from being the mandatory for the belt.

I think even the lacklustre old Tua we saw years ago would give Haye absolute hell, so a dedicated, focused and fit Tua will smack the absolute **** out of Haye tbh, and thats from a Haye fan!

I've said this many a time recently but i'm very interested in seeing how the K'bros would react to Tua's flush left hooks and straight rights landing on their ribs and solar plexus. If Tua can get inside (probably not THAT hard given the size difference, and if he works on his head movement/footspeed a little more), then both Vk and WK present biiiiiiiiiiiiiig targets for Tua to land on.

Look at how many shots he let off on Cameron when he had him backed on the ropes: imagine him doing that to Waldo. I think WK's head woud explode from panic.

    Why not?

    - Wlad's schedule: Chambers & Povetkin fights probably cover 2010 (I gather he's out to spring, so it'll only be 2 fights in 2010)
    - with 2 fights in 2010, Tua could make himself a #1 contender (possible mandatory)
    - other than Haye, it's really the only legacy/big interest fight out there; whether Wlad really wants that is a bit of a question - but if Tua has 2 more good performances, this would rank highly in Wlad's win column

Why not early 2011? Biggest obstacle I'd see is Tua going the WBA route.

With Haye fighting Valuev, Chambers/Povetkin already scheduled Tua should
go after one other top 10 to become next mandatory.
Dimitrenko is not bad opponent for him.

But will WBA rank him? He seems to have his "in" with the WBO.

BUT, I could see Tua/Meehan as a WBA eliminator given Meehan's goofy high ranking there and gate the fight would do in Aus.
