I just realised which film gladiator was too. Makes me nostalgic from when I was a kid. Also the boxing stint of the power of one was also good. Thats just a great movie in general with a fantastic score from Hans Zimmer.

Which makes me think, does anybody remember the name of a film where an average boxer was turned in an animal by secretly being fed steroids. At the end of the movies he's so dangerous he has to fight his opponents while chained to the ring. Just remember that I wasnt allowed to watch it all as a kid because I was too young. Never seen it all since, lol.

You sure it was not just a nightmare? Sounds like a horror flick.

I checked, it is The Black Dahlia, the two main guys are cops who box eachother, Boxing isn't the main storyline but there is some in it. Was better done than most.

    Rocky 1
Cinderella Man (Not very accurate so I hear but very well made, a quality film)
Million Dollar baby - I managed to enjoy (What a **** ending though)
    Raging Bull
    When We Were Kings
Shadow Boxers (My mate had this on Video years ago, never seen it since or on DVD)
Rocky 4 maybe (I used to train to the music when I was younger)

Haha, I think it was an 18 but not a horror flick from what I can remember.

It was probably absolute trash but as a kid the box cover and the first 5 mins looked like the most interesting thing ever.

Raging Bull was an instant classic for me, Seen it maybe 20 times. Also, "Hard Times" with Charles Bronson is a great movie. Not exactly a boxing movie, but was close to prizefighting.

How about Undefeated starring John Leguizamo?

    I love all the Rocky's (except 5).

They are what they are. Never gonna be as good a film as Raging Bull or Cinderalla Man, but entertainment galore. Watching the Rocky films as a kid got me as much into boxing as my Dad waking me up in the middle of the night and insisting I stay awake to watch Tyson. So I still carry a torch for them now and as someone else said further up I challenge anyone to turn over when they come on and there's f*ck all else on!
