i know u guys dont care but supposidly evander holyfield and shannon briggs have had a few run ins.......rumour that this fight might be made.........could a 47 yr old holy beat a 38 yr old briggs at this point.....who would u bet the house on?
Briggs is a banger but he's also a stationary target with a desultory workrate. Even this version of Holy could manage to bounce around for 12 rounds and land just enough punches to take a decision. It would look somewhat like the Valuev fight if you ask me except Shannon wouldn't throw as many punches and that's saying a lot cuz Nikolai's workrate in that fight was just nonexistent.
I agree that Evander although ancient might have enough to whup this never was underacheiver. Id say Evander pulls out a close win over Briggs.Briggs should have been one of the top heavyweights of the 90s and 00s,but to me hes never done much the win over Liakoyvich was lucky and he got a gift over a ready to retire Old Foreman.
Holyfield is shot and Briggs is a stationary stamina-less fighter compared to what he was when he fought Lewis, but Holy should have enough movement and timing to beat him by decision at this point. Odd fight tho, hope both (especially the Real Deal) hang it up.
In 12 rounds 96 yrs OLD Holy might get caught with one of those Briggs cannon's and it's ovah!!! But I think he needs to hang em up and fight the global warming, as news were suggesting!!!
